I think this is the biggest issue. We live in a society where it’s not okay to just be average. It’s one thing if a doctor tells an obese person they need to lose weight for medical reasons, but quite another when “health and fitness” companies are telling average people they’re wrong for not looking like models.

I’m also having a blast with Blue Mage at the moment. It’ll probably get old quickly, what with the 50 cap making it useless even for normal open world things like farming and hunts and such, but for now it’s new and different and weird and unbalanced as hell, and that’s unusual and exciting for this game.

Honest, non-toll question here. Why do people love Lost Odyssey so much? People rave about it but I just don’t see the appeal. The story is... decent. The battle system is... fine. Etc. It’s certainly not a bad game, but there’s nothing particularly good or special about it either. I don’t understand why it gets so

Hm. Rocks in a pattern, one out of place... This is a korok puzzle, isn’t it?

Those things are not mutually exclusive. Women can be afraid for their safety and men can be afraid of false accusations at the same time.

It may just be me, but I’m always a little wary of reviews like this, where the reviewer already has strong opinions about the game going in. You love DQ, and that’s great, but it makes this review completely meaningless because I can’t rely on you to give me an objective critique.

I never said that. “I don’t like it” and “it’s bad” are two very different things. I absolutely understand the appeal and can appreciate the quality of games like Shadow of the Colossus and Monster Hunter and the like. They’re just not for me.

Is that it? Just more optional bosses? If so, pass.

Maybe I’m missing something, but why not just have different categories and records for the different versions of the game? That seems like the simplest and most efficient way to handle it. What’s the argument against it?

Living in the Chicago suburbs I’m sad, but not really surprised to see the Vernon Hills, Highland park, and Schaumburg stores closing. I wonder why they’re closing the Niles store as well though. That one struck me as being in a pretty good place.

I think part of the issue with the story is the disconnect between the then and the now, and how the past, audio-log story was so much more interesting than what Aloy was doing in the actual game (and this remained true in the DLC as well.) I didn’t really even care that much about Aloy, because I was much more

““Rust,” at least as far as I know, isn’t exactly a popular name for a son.”

Yeah. While neat, this reminds me a lot more a modern phone game than of anything I actually played on my Game Boy back in the early 90s.

“It’s Square Enix’s first shooter”

Yeah. Let’s face it, humans are physical beings. We are (usually) very much in tune with out bodies and very sensitive to when things are off about them. If you suddenly woke up in a completely alien body, with new and different sensations, exploring it and trying to get a feel for it is probably the first thing you

So you can jump higher, obviously.

Bleh. Any ranking that has LttP as #1 is automatically invalid.

Specialty hardware isn’t always the answer. It depends a lot on what your particular issue is.

I used to be the “IT guy” at a call center. One day I got and installed a update for the call taking software that was supposed to fix something or other. Normally not a big deal. That sort of thing happened all the time. This time however, the update broke one of the other features in the process.

About 10 years ago a friend/co-worker and I used to play FFXI together. She was 45, married with two kids (though in the process of getting a divorce.) She met a guy in game and they hit it off. They emailed and talked on the phone for close to a year and then decided to meet.

He was going to fly out here for a week.
