Can confirm, hill hold is a great feature if you live in a hilly area like Seattle. Had it on my ‘11 tdi.

Mechanic here, keep doing that clutch slipping hill hold.
Oooof, I love that you drive a manual Chevy SS, but I have to cringe at the thought of anyone holding a car on a hill with the clutch. That is the first thing I was taught not to do!
I have a ‘16 GTI with the feature and love it after dailying a manual for the last decade. Where I live there are a lot of hills, and in traffic this saves my clutch a bit and eases the stress on my left leg as well.
I agree the skip shift is a awful idea, but why bypass the hill hold, it’s a wonderful invention! your dad said “can” hold on a hill with the clutch, not you should hold a car on a hill with the clutch, doing that is a great way to wreck your clutch early. Driving stick isn’t just about being able to do it smoothly…
Hear, Hear! I installed the skip-shift eliminator the day after I got mine!

Any FWD with a huge aluminum spoiler?
Light bars and lift kits in suburbia. None of that is needed to find your way over to PF Changs.
M badges on non-M BMWs.

Color me impressed. Well done Team Salamone.
Probably a combination of both. I was expecting a massive retaliation but this was very professional and respectful.
Whether you believe it or not... it was a well-written response with at least a few explanations.
He owns a $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador with the license plate "WINNING." He calls his girlfriend "Concubine." He…
