Second question: I want to be a journalist/writer. You guys have plenty of experience in the field, and I was wondering if you had any advice for how to land a good writing job that isn’t “Write a whole bunch.” What are the best tips you guys have received?

With the current shift from console generations to a more frequent release of hardware, how do you feel this will change the game market and journalism? Are you going to buy every console they release? Which will you use for game reviews?

It’s billed as the spiritual successor to Bloodline Champions, which you can clearly see once you get involved. It’s a well-polished game, but there are some striking similarities between the two. For instance, each character has a unique set of skills, but each button fulfills some distinct function. In Bloodline,

To think they went through such a long development process, and then they just get shut down without a second thought. Perhaps the biggest disappointment is how it’s all happened behind closed doors.

American living in Korea here. This isn’t a problem for me personally, but Korea is a bit behind in work culture. For the most part, women are still very much oppressed in a 1950s kind of way. Having feminist views is generally frowned upon, and most women in jobs are expected to just obey and serve the men. It’s not

I saw it just today, and I was thoroughly impressed at how good it was. When you go in with expectations low, it’s a solid movie. The visuals are fantastic, and the story was told pretty well. It was worth the money, and I’d gladly see it again after reading up more on my Warcraft lore.

It’s difficult to choose games that are pretty much movies already. Like, Suikoden would be cool, but it’s practically a movie in and of itself. I’d love to see a Mass Effect movie, but it’s the same deal. It’s just got too much story to have a movie do it justice.

Harsh judgement here. The characters fit their role but they don’t smash it in your face. They each have a certain archetype, sure, but it also fits in the lore. The voice acting is exactly what you’d expect from this style of game. I mean, have you seen Team Fortress 2? Do you honestly think that’s better?

To be honest, I’ve never felt that Twitch chat has ever been a beneficial addition to a stream. I’ve been watching Twitch for upwards of 4 years, but at no point did I feel that the chat was playing a role in my experience. In fact, I’d argue the opposite as people really do feel liberated enough to say whatever they

For me, I’ve always turned on Permadeath because I want to stick with the mantra of the series. It’s supposed to be about attachment and loss, loving your characters and feeling pain when one of them goes down in combat.

That was the point, though! In reality, you were practically the baddest guy in the game! That’s what made that plot so great. You more or less take away this magical world from everyone else just so that you can go back to normal. I mean, Marche was so evil that he took away his brother’s new-found ability to walk!

I disagree here. Esports have the same ease of understanding in a lot of cases. For instance, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that when a person gets killed in CSGO, that’s probably a bad thing. In fact, that’s a game that has a lot of background in growing on an audience. It’s been around for a long
