A full day's worth of totally boring racing compressed into 2 minutes, 30 seconds of action. Brilliant. I wish they would do this with baseball - I'd probably watch it.

Bah! Those are just kids. I fit 4 adults in my 914 & drove us all from Las Cruces, NM to El Paso, TX (about 45 minutes) & back. This was in college. We were not making good decisions.

According to Danny Bahar, this will never sell.

This image looks too much like the drawing to not be the source of the drawing. You still have the images, don't you? Flash card recovery?

@ 30 seconds... those jacks holding up the rears. WTF are they and where can I get some for my garage?

Ford Probe. It was one of the most aerodynamic cars ever made as a concept - with a drag coefficient of .15. When it finally came to market - designed to replace the Mustang - sales of the Mazda MX-6 based hatchback "fell short of expectations." Mustang owners can rejoice in this fact.

So almost 3 million jeeps & the thought is that the cost will be $300M? I think Ditlow is a little optimistic. There's no way parts and labor will only by $100 per vehicle.

He knew the danger when he took the job. (says the 6' 6" Elise owner)

My '87 MR2 got totalled by a 3mph parking lot bump. I was stopped in the lane between rows of cars. Someone in a parking space didn't see me & backed into my rear quarter panel.

If you think any part of this was not staged, I have a bridge to sell you.

I missed the request, but I would have nominated the Lotus Elise as a worst summer road trip car. I've driven mine from Los Angeles to Aspen, LA to Bryce Canyon (UT), and a few random long-haul trips around SoCal. The AC freezes over when set to full cold, the seat start getting *really* uncomfortable at around hour

You, too, can get tens of millions of dollars from the Government if you download this $15 model model from Turbo Squid - http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/maya… . Just use your favorite modeling package to remove the headlight covers and hubcaps, then "select all" and stretch along the X axis! Tada! $40 million

I'm all for manual transmissions, but as a way to reduce driving-while-texting, they are as effective as manual window cranks. ... which is to say, this story is ludicrous.

An "idiot" is a bit extreme... The first spark comes from what appears to be the battery. The fire appears to have started from the other side of the motor. Sparks when testing out a new ignition system are not uncommon.

After the fire started, I would guess that he saw pooled fuel & knew there was a problem, so he

Odd, that looks different from the last 250 Lusso I shot at a concours:

Cars I've owned with pop-up headlights:
1974 Porsche 914
1986 Toyota MR2
1991 Toyota MR2
1994 Mazda RX7
Not a single one ever had a problem with the pop-up mechanism.
I still own the MR2.  As of this morning, the pop-ups still work & have never been replaced.
I bet the pop-up attrition rate of the Fiero was high, but for
