This man 996's.
Nice price, BUT: Don’t forget that everything on a 996 can become expensive, especially if it is cosmetical stuff. That missing headlight washer chrome cap? 50€. Headlights, if they are Xenon and the plastic covers can’t be refurbished anymore: 1150€ a piece. Interior trim can also be quite expensive.
On the plus side,…
Huh. It had never actually occurred to me that this show had writers.
Get a new goat every spring and have a cookout in the fall.
My parents moved from Brooklyn, NY to a nice quiet town in Litchfield County in CT. They had zero concept of owning a house with a lawn, never mind a 1 acre plot of lawn. By the time they realized they needed to do something about it, a lawnmower was no longer an option. They had to wait until it got longer and have a…
Backpack two-stroke leaf blowers are the worst. Not only are they fucking obnoxious to listen to, they are extremely dirty. How about just picking up a damn rake, broom or electric blower?
If I didn’t mow all May, the grass would be so long by June that it would be impossible to mow
Go to a Toyota dealer and try and find a RAV4 prime. They are 6 months out. Its not that people don’t want them, its that they aren’t building enough of them.
As an owner of one, I can definitely say the 4XE Wrangler is amazing.
“It’s a service trench that relates to active, permitted work” would involve workers actively working.
Recognising his error, Schwarzenegger went to get a shovel to dig out the hole. He apologised, saying “I’ll be back”.
If it was bad enough to apparently be damaging vehicles, sounds like there should have been some temporary cover used when not actively being worked on? I’ve seen that done before.
Am I the only one who clicked on this assuming it had to be Pete Davidson?
It felt like a speedrun of the game! It’s weird because it was VERY faithful to the game’s beats — especially those final beats with Joel and Marlene in the garage, flashing forward to the car ride, then flashing back to the rest of the scene in the garage.
“What was on the screen was beautifully well done. Joel’s charge through the hospital really felt like how someone would play it in the game, with the planned careful clearing of rooms and peeks around walls. Grabbing ammo from downed enemies. Just excellently relatable as a game player.”
Not even a little. It was definitely very fast paced and left me wanting more, but that was my own selfish craving and not due to a lack of storytelling or hasty writing. I think they accomplished everything they set out to accomplish.
I honestly thought Ellie’s quite “We finish what we started,” was more effective than any longer monologue would be. Remember she’s always been talkative, jokey, even rambling - because she’s a kid - but this was the point she’s grown up. She’s become more like her “dad” in that respect; it’s short, efficient,…
Perfect finale. Really loved it. They nailed all the beats. Also, I don’t know if you can call Joel lying to Ellie at the end ‘gaslighting’. It was just lying.
The video game and story writers tried and failed to create a moral quandary. They want it to be a choice between the individual or the human race. Except it’s not. Instead it turns out to be a choice between murdering an innocent teenage girl and cutting out her brain vs an extremely remote possibility of a cure. The…
Joel should assume the surrendering firefly won’t pick up his gun and shoot him in the back the moment he turns away?
