Completely agree with you. Badges matter. Which is why Cadillac’s absence from the plush grand touring luxury sedan market is such a missed opportunity in my opinion.

I’m in the middle east where these seem to be plentiful. There were actually good condition LS 460s for $6000-8000 but with higher miles or having/missing certain things. I’m more of a sports car person but figured I’d try out a V8 luxury sedan for something different since gas is dirt cheap here.

I think both of y’all have great points here. There’s definitely a market for a more comfortable, relaxed ride, but there’s also an argument to be made that, if you’re in the market for a luxury car, throwing an extra $3,500 for a brand name probably isn’t going to matter and might even be worth it.

I had a chance to talk to a pretty wide variety of designers and apparently the polarizing grille is a feature a lot of luxury automakers are going for now??? Be it Lexus, BMW, or even Genesis. The thinking is that it’s an eye-grabbing feature that can create a very distinctive, brand-focused look without compromising…
