I have a MK7 with the 1.8T and the manual, and it is my favorite car I have ever owned. You summed it up well.

They sure did. My 2016 has a 6spd which is a delight. The clutch is light but definitive and the gearbox is pretty crisp. My only gripe is that there is hill assist and I think it’s kind of fun to roll back on takeoff!

How is the reliability for Golf’s? I’ve been interested in them and coming from a Camry for reference and keep my cars till they rust away. I’ve just heard so many horror stories of VWs, then I also hear some folks similar to Roy’s where they just need consumables.

I actually have a broadcast antenna I got from Amazon after cord cutting, but it doesn’t get ABC. I don’t get why it’s impossible to stream, Disney has livefeeds built into both ESPN+ and Hulu.

I have a car rental reservation for August in Hawaii which I made back in January for a decent price (for Hawaii). Now when I check the price, it is double what I originally booked.  I’m more worried there wont be a car when I show up even with a reservation.
