I just realized Suzuki is selling the new Jimny in Mexico. They’ve been selling small batches and the pre-orders have sold out in less than 6 hrs. To date they’ve sold about 3000 of those cute little things (in less than 6 months) which is a big number for Mexican car sales, let alone a niche segment vehicle like the

I had this exact car and had the recall done twice. I’ll give Honda credit for absolutely hounding me the 2nd time around, because it had been 3 months since they sent out notification of the 2nd recall. I got snail mail, emails, phone calls. They did their job.

My wife is approaching that level of sloppiness. I would hate driving her car any given day. Despite having a dedicated trash bag hooked to the shift lever, there’s all sorts of TRASH jammed into the door pockets, center console and footwells.

It exists, you just can’t buy it in the land of “freedom.”

I still miss the Chilito from Taco Bell, but that’s a torch that I’ve been carrying for decades now.

I absolutely fucking love this thing. The two tone bright red to neutral grey with the hard top is just beautiful.

My wife always makes me chauffeur when we take her car. It’s second nature to get the seat and mirrors to where they need to be, I don’t mind that, but, the door pockets, cup holders, passenger footwell, and cubbies are all trash cans and it doesn’t take long after a professional detail for the car to start smelling

Don’t just read the article, check also the affiliated links. They DO call it full self-driving.

Memory seats and memory mirrors handle most everything about the operation of the vehicle that I don’t get in a twist about sharing vehicles.  BUT my wife uses door pockets as trash cans. Drives me f-ing crazy whenever she borrows my car for a few days.

Fuck you and your spam code.

LOL, some people like to keep their ride pristine, while others use it as a traveling trashcan.  Sorry, but I’m not about to share a car with Lana.

“we don’t care about fuel efficiency”

You’ll notice that Jason, Raph or David didn’t give any recommendations.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson comes in a hybrid and can get a tow hitch mounted. Since we get the long wheelbase model in the USA, it should be plenty big enough in the backseat. If that isn’t big enough, the Santa Fe also comes in a hybrid this year. Neither look hybrid-y and I doubt a teenager/young adult would mind

This is in San Diego:

4 reasonable recommendations? What has happened to Jalopnik? All of these are great options. Rav4 Prime is what I had in mind before seeing the recommendations. If that doesn’t have the desired space, the Sienna could replace the Highlander as the family travelling vehicle and the Highlander could replace the Civic.

If I remember back to biology class, sometimes when two wheels get together, sometimes the undesirable traits match up and low and behold something new is born.

This hurts my brain. They’re all like that!

But how does it compare to, say, an M1A1 Abrams main battle tank? That’s the comparison that actually matters.
