One thing I love about the VWs I’ve owned (2009 GTI, 2012 CC and currently 2014 JSW) is they’ve all had full size spares. What amuses me is they’ve all had these “55mph” speed limit stickers on them, even though it’s clearly a regular steel wheel with a regular Continental tire on it, probably the same combo you’d get

In theory this sounds like a great idea.

Haha my Audi has a rubber pizza in the trunk and a air pump.  My Mazda and Saab are much more convenient to blow a tire on.

People keep forgetting that BMW has been chourning out weird machines for ages and then they act surprised when BMW comes out with, you guessed it, another weird car.

Loved that table. Every time I see a CRV from that gen I regret selling our. Such a good reliable runner.

Except something called a “1999 Windstar” probably returned to the earth 10 years ago.

This is one of the strange tenets of “American infrastructure” that both liberals and conservatives seem to miss: Infrastructure is a liability. Not an asset.

“This trip should have been a Teams meeting” happened to me twice even before COVID. After I wasted 4 days on the road for the first one I took some flak for teleconferencing into the second. Big surprise - the three day “workshop” they arranged to get everyone in the same room and hammer out a project’s design spec w

Counterpoint: I’d vote to eliminate street parking on small streets that have heavy traffic and street parking, but also parking garages directly accessible from said street.

To (mis)manage traffic flow. They redid a major road near me with these and it didn’t improve traffic flow and added accidents as people got confused. If people are already used to them I think they can work(not help really) but dropping them in a novel area is just chaos, roundabouts are better accepted.
