Does Toyota think there’s some award for “most models of CUV/SUV available at one time”? Their offerings are overwhelming.

All of the onus is on the delivery services charging a “delivery fee” and calling this a “tip”. If you’re gonna play the card of the drivers being independent contractors, then just be clear with the consumer - it’s a “DoorDash admin fee” and the tip is actually “delivery pickup incentive”. Greater the incentive,

Sorry, I choked a little after reading “as low as 4.99%”. Most CUs have 3.75 or thereabouts for the 73-84 month tier.

On the other hand, when messages are delivered subtly or via context, today’s half-attentive audience will likely miss the message. Movies and TV do tend to underestimate the intelligence of the audience, but perhaps that’s for good reason. You need only read IMDB reviews of anything that requires thought to hear

Do you think the next stage going to be “that one guy in college who nobody wants to drive with because although he’s never crashed he just doesn’t give a shit about road signs or common decency so every trip is like being in an auto cross race”?

Look at the photos in the article of the CX-50. Tell me that interior is not lame for a $40,000 car.

I know, I know. But check out the new Outback Touring, it’s quite nice at its price point. Definitely more modern looking that what is shown in this article.

I can’t help but feel that Mazda came *so close but not quite* to besting the Subaru Outback. So close. The interior just doesn’t hold up. Subaru has stepped up their fit & finish game and Mazda seems…a little cheap. For $42k, it’s just not there yet.

Stories of its unreliability are overblown and mostly centered around the Quad.

Yours looks awesome. I love that color! I’ve always kicked around the idea of buying a XK8 but it’s the convertible top issue that worries me the most - can the top be altered to remove the pump and just be lifted manually?

Oh yeah, in the US it’s a huge issue still. In the backseat (especially in vans, busses, etc) it’s very common to not wear a seatbelt because it’s deemed safe enough.

It’s west Texas. Means he got a late start on the days drinking if he was clearheaded enough to have his kid drive home at 830.

The saddest part is just that wearing seatbelts could have likely prevented many of the fatalities. Even in the backseat, it should be automatic to buckle up every time. It’s ridiculous that this is still a conversation that needs to happen.

They’re duplexes, which is common in the northeast. Two houses that share one wall. Cheaper than a SFH, less annoying than a townhouse cause there’s no middle section. Usually the two houses aren’t so different-looking; this neighborhood is a special late-80s/early-90s aesthetic.

I walked to the train station once. Just once. It’s in an incredibly pedestrian-unfriendly area because of how it’s set back from the rest of the city. Hopefully they put some thought into it and tying it in with the rest of the Mt Vernon / Belvedere neighborhood.

I grew up in Falls Twp, PA. They used to be so damn proud of their HUGE tactical SWAT vehicles and task force, even back in the early 2000s. The biggest threat we’d ever face would be if New Jersey wanted to invade and march through in an attempt to annex Sesame Place, located the next township over.  There is zero

I’m sure all of the cars are PPVs or similar police fleet vehicles; I don’t think Ford did a 250 version but I could be wrong. All of these prices are AMAZINGLY cheap. I don’t understand the outrage, guy knew he was getting a good deal with limited local resources in a small county and just didn’t jump through enough

That’s really awesome. I went with Subaru for a variety of reasons, but Volvo has always been right up there in my mind.

I’m just saying, the absolute bare minimum home APR was in the mid-2s. I refinanced in August of ‘20 for about 2.75% with a ton of equity and top tier credit. Up until recently, a car loan less than 2.75% wasn’t that hard to attain even with middling credit.

Surprising thing here is that a home loan can get a lower interest rate than a car loan (especially a few years ago). The best home loan rates ever got recently were, what, maybe 2% if you were a VA loan, but probably closer to 3% if you were a normal person. Just a few weeks ago I got 3% financing on a used car
