I was just thinking this. I can still easily hear a Tesla driving past me because of the tire noise. If the tires are silent, well…might be bad news for squirrels and pedestrians.

Are there any solutions for those of us who get serious motion sickness from 1st person games? I miss playing, but even five minutes makes me want to throw up.

Cayennes kinda fit into the same category as Discoveries and in some fashion Lexus GX and LXs. They’re really excellently capable off-roaders and are a pretty good metric of how to mix luxury with ability. Their first buyers tend to be the “look at me!” people (and suburbanites who want to show off at soccer practice)

Without getting too political, the total lack of empathy displayed by most people in public but especially online. Moreover, the overall aggressiveness that has become the norm for most people. Can’t we chill and give peace a chance?

For sure. There’s so many better preowned small-crossover options for $15k, even in todays market.

Perhaps, but when you NEED a car (old one is irreparable, lease is up, crash, etc), waiting is a difficult proposition. Do you buy something you don’t really want at today’s inflated prices and risk losing a lot in a few years when you sell? Do you try to cough up $4k for that new engine on a car worth less than that,

Is the 2CV some type of collectible in France, like, say, an old Bronco would be in the USA? I was under the impression that preowned cars in Europe were practically free because they were so undesirable.  Or is that just England?

I had originally thought that the price was a typo and should really be $1,650. Apparently not.

Anecdotal evidence, but I live in just a mid-level suburb of Philly but I’ve already seen half a dozen of these in my neighborhood. I think they’ll be more popular than most commenters around here think; the Jeep will appeal to people who’d never buy a GLS or X7.

Scary because even if I showed up a Bob Jones Ford with $50k in cash in my fist (or the ability to finance it with great credit so they get a finance kickback), they may not sell me a car because I want to keep my busted old ride.

Hopefully that’s a stock photo from a decade ago 😆

New car prices are up to essentially MSRP or above - if you’re lucky enough to even find one for sale. If you find one for sale and you get to pay MSRP, you’re lucky times two.

The one redeeming quality of the PT was it’s fairly flexible interior and ability to carry more crap than you’d expect from looking at the outside of it. The convertible got rid of that one benefit. Silly.

Yeah it was probably like a $200 order had it been in-store prices. Which is still a lot but…I think I could meet that challenge.

It’s a quasi-California-burrito and you’re right, absolutely the best thing in fast food you can order.

This right here. I guarantee that in a few years, car infotainment screens will blast ads just like gas station pumps, unless you pay to opt-out.

Alright, fine. I was trying to be supportive and excited and positive, but sure go ahead and argue semantics.

It’s amazing how definitive regional foods are, as well as how recognizable. Californian-Mexican is very different than TexMex, but they’re also drastically different from New Mexican or Colorado-Mexican and all of the above are different than cuisines from the regions in Old Mexico. Food and culture and how they

Actually in your example, it’s entirely likely that the owner of the stolen bat WOULD be sued and held as partially liable, especially if the bat wasn’t under lock and key or otherwise left in an accessible location.

In almost all instances, damage done by a vehicle follows that vehicle and then to its registered owner. For example, the damage done to the bus was caused by the car and would be the responsibility of that car’s owner (and their insurance)…hopefully his liability is sufficient to cover it.
