MSRP for a V8 Vantage was about $125k. I’m really shocked that $35k is a “too good to be true” price; they must not depreciate like I thought they would. I figured an almost 10-year-old British import would have at least 80% depreciation at this point.

Wait wait wait wait. Live turkeys weigh 50+lbs?!??! Never getting near one of these death birds now.

One time in HS I had to move a sheet of plywood tied to the roof of my Escort. Only had to go like 2 miles but it was the longest and most butt clenching two miles of my life.

I thought I needed an SUV for my dog. Then I realized that he loses his shit (figuratively) when he can’t put his head near me on car rides, so he’s gotta ride in the back seat no matter what.

I didn’t think of that. In my state (PA) it’s 20-years-or-older, which this car would qualify for. In spite of the fact that 1990 will always be 20 years ago in my mind.

It is a clean title now, but not when the new owner takes possession and the DMV makes them check the “not actual miles” box on the application since the odo doesn’t work.

The FB post states that the truck was carrying $400k worth but only a few gallons spilled. This is questionable reporting.

JD does bottle some on premises, however it’s a relatively small part of the factory relative to the scale that they produce. I’d guess that the single barrel and other specialties are packaged in Lynchburg and mass products packed somewhere else. I took the tour in 2019 and it was pretty fun.

I’m with you here. I’m 90% sold on the Maverick, just wish it was RWD but oh well. I can’t wait to drive the new Ranger back-to-back with the Maverick and see what they’re like.

I’m with you on the shifter, it’s not necessary and a stubby column shift is a better instrument. It’s just a waste of space.

I hate my fingers being sticky. Hate it.  I hate the sides of my mouth being covered in gunk.  Generally don’t like the top of my lip hitting sauce either.

Burgers have to be cut in half or, if substantially large, quarters.  That is my compromise.  And once all the stuff still inevitably ends up on a plate, will be eaten with a fork as a squishy mess.

My biggest reason to not use public transport is not the cost of the fare, but the annoyance of having to pay. Some train stations are manned, some are unmanned, some have digital only where you need a card, some have stops where conductors bill you. Busses I just don’t understand as they don’t make change and don’t

He was acquitted; the prosecution can’t appeal an acquittal as that would constitute Double Jeopardy under the 5th Amendment.

I wanna know the mechanics. How does it shift? Is the accelerator just tied to a string? This looks gnarly and weird and so dangerous it’s awesome.

Slingshots are really the perfect solution as long as you live somewhere that doesn’t rain much. They’re still (relatively) cheap and don’t require a M license, and are really quite fun.

Are those wheels as off-putting in real life as they look in the photos? Is that fabric hard to slide on? Can a large dog fit in the back?

Go and check out a brand new 2023 “Cadillac DaFuq?”

I’ve been connected to a lot of the beta testers’ Tiktok vids of the car, how it handles situations, and what it’s “seeing” as it is navigating. It’s…terrifying, honestly. Very wide in intersections, easily confused by double parkers, and just generally very bad for cities.
