Every once in a while I see a first gen sedan Focus (that was my first car, too!), but I agree that they were not particularly long lived. SPI engine FTW, though, can’t kill that thing. My mom has an Escort that’s about a billion years old that’s still going strong.

I would make the bold claim that the luggage compartment in SUVs, wagons, and hatches also is not a “trunk”. Trunks, like my most successful relationship, require complete physical separation.

I do agree to some extent, however the rear of many similarly sized CUVs is barely big enough to hold one dog, let alone three. I could get my 90lb mutt into the back of a CRV, but probably not three of him.

I want a loaded Lariat Hybrid in about two years. Which means ordering one, but that’s okay. When you look at the MSRP of just about any decently equipped car these days, it’s hard to believe Ford can sell this so cheaply.  Couple years of teething should help. 

It’s been the rule since forever that any non-employee compensation, received from one source per calendar year, and above $600, requires a 1099. Yep, this car is awesome and priced well. And since I don’t live in Cali, could not care less about the registration.

The price is a little high, but it seems to be in good shape. Maintenance is not astronomical especially if you can DIY. This is as close to a parts-bin car as a semi-exotic can be, so getting parts isn’t crazy expensive either (about on par with Audi, which, duh). The transmission and AWD system are stout. The…

I’ll give that a shot. The processing speed feels fine, just the camera and battery life sucks a big one (it was never great to begin with, but I’m down to about four hours per charge) . I’ll probably get the battery replaced.
