NA miatas have been increasing in price pretty dramatically (along with everything else I guess). I think the seller knows he’s asking a lot and expects to be talked down. For a long time in my late teens through mid 20s, I was a Panther fanboi who owned appx eight of them over that time period. I always thought it was to add weight over the rear axle. Floor or trunk mounted would change the weight distribution.
