Manual or no, that’s an insane price for year and mileage, even in today’s stupid car market. ND at $13.5, actual price should be about half that.

That’s fair. I come from city life and have never known anyone past elementary school age that…ugh…*drinks* milk. In coffee or cereal, sure. But as a beverage? 🤢
Opportunity? Perhaps also understanding - only other people in the industry “get” them. It’s easy to go back to an ex if you’re both single at the same time and the breakup was under amicable circumstances; that’s probably triple true when you can’t just go to a bar somewhere and meet someone new.
It’s the estimate that’s the issue. Even Tesla’s FSD beta still struggles with this. It’s hard for AI to predict irrationality that’s so common with drivers (as well as other signs like looking in a mirror and seeing where the other driver’s eyes are going)
But to get to Level 5, there needs to be stacks of data obtained from Level 2 and 3 instances where the driver had to “take over”. It seems unreasonable to expect Level 4 or 5 to just be able to be developed without years of real world tests.
Yeah but that’s not really the point, right? It’s not about driving it, at all. It’s about being able to stand next to the shiny green thing and be like - “this weird car was in a magazine as the car of the future and it’s MINE! Isn’t it weird? It’s so weird.”
I was all ready to ND this and then realized - you’re not buying a car here, not really. You’re buying a show piece to take to meets, Cars & Coffee, town 4th of July parades, and maybe your kid’s pep rally or whatever. You’re not going to drive this to work nor through the McDonald’s drive-thru.
Can’t testify against a spouse, perhaps.
This was always super apparent to me, however I was blown away by how many people didn’t get it - Trump himself is essentially just a figurehead. That’s why, no matter the incoherent or absurdly offensive statement, the water just rolled off his back. That’s why a NYC millionaire who detests the unwashed masses has…
The McDonald’s menu is now like six items and it’s nothing but disappointment. I miss 2015-era McD’s with, like, variety.
Are they indicating that the “extra” vaccine get sent somewhere else in the world? Because US hospitals and doctors offices generally have plenty.
Since Subaru’s system for all of that is camera based, they essentially would be installing cameras that use only half of their abilities. Subaru probably determined that cost v benefit didn’t really make sense and that all the forward-based stuff wouldn’t really be missed by the enthusiasts who want a manual car…
NM plates on Oregon CL. Relatively new engine swap with no details. Interior that really fits the RAT rod aesthetic.
This is the whole point of most startups, unfortunately. Leverage yourself for as long as possible, create buzz, and hope that the big payday buy-out happens before you go bankrupt.
As a reference point for those who are bad at the maths, that’s basically 12 bags of stone from Home Depot in the bed. Which I may or may not have exceeded in the back a Subaru Forester.
The city gave them an inch and they took a yard (heh, literally). Seems fairly innocuous and likely is just a cog in the machine.
Yep. And thanks to YouTube and TikTok, learning how to sear (or even better: reverse sear) a steal can be easily taught in less than a minute.
Depends on the state. That’s not the case where I live (in PA); you have thirty days from date of purchase/registration to get it inspected. But they also don’t test for tint.
Interesting questions this week. Both can be summed up with “yes…usually…”.
I’m all about the Maverick at its $20k base price and would even pay $30k for a fully loaded Hybrid - but because I care about a hybrid truck more so than a tiny truck. I don’t understand paying $50k for a Hyundai ever, but especially this Hyundai.
