Perhaps. In sport mode / manual shift it’s sorta fun. It snaps back to center quick and reminds me of a real SMG gearbox.

So. Maybe.

Does the top *need* to be fixed for drievability?  Like no risk of it flapping off or something if moved up and down manually?

I’ve tried the Ook hangers and had difficulty getting the nails in the wall. I do like them, though.

I’ve been sorta in the market for a (normal) Z3. Generally higher mileage, late 90s examples are selling for about $8k give or take.

Oh yeah, I guess I simplified it a bit much leaving out H2 and other alt fuels. But I totally agree, electric long-haul trucking isn’t gonna happen any time soon. But short runs? Logging? Tow trucks? Construction equipment? City box trucks (esp with the soaring popularity of grocery delivery)? Five years and it’ll be

And also everyone immediately thinks the use-case of the Tesla semi will be the trucks we see on the interstate. Maybe some, but the real game changer will be those truck-adaptations in city use, or logging use, tow trucks, local deliveries, etc.

Longtime plaster-hanger here. First off, paintings should always be hung with multiple screws, not nails or some weird fancy metal whatever.

I’m not a highlighter yellow fan. Would be better in bright orange, green, or blue, but that’s just an opinion and doesn’t take away from the work he did.

Can you follow Mercedes and register in VT?

Oh man. This is the theme for the ages. I can’t post any of these without doxxing myself but I don’t care. Background: I work for the government. Where everyone is either brilliant but just wants to be comfortable or dumb as rocks and can’t get anything better. Generally when you leave, you either blossom and live

Couple of thoughts:

Seems like they’re further encouraging Californians to flee and move elsewhere 🤔

But...

Everyone had an extra bowl of grumpy flakes this morning I guess.

You’re partially right, I think, but the real ubiquity of the internet didn’t take hold in the general population (read: older people) until the mid-00s, and at that point became something a large number of people spent hours on as entertainment. Remember, finding usenets and chat rooms took a hit of effort and

Tesla is just a benefactor of what has, unfortunately, become now commonplace: a strong idolization and worship of culture icons that waivers on becoming a person’s whole identity. See also: our departing president, “mommy bloggers”, stance bros, ad infinitim.

I think it’s just too small. It’s still covering all the breathing holes.

It’s just tradition. Johnson was sworn in on Air Force One while in the air, after all.

Yeah, this. It’s too much for most people. It seems like information overload just from staring at a photo, I can’t imagine how it would be in real life. HUDs have existed for decades and the car receiving information this version is showing has existed for at least 8-10 years.  There’s a reason it’s not mainstream
