In America it’s much cheaper. Licenses are usually only a few dollars (typically less than $50) and they don’t make you prove any of that nonsense in most states.  The papers pick up the announcements from the license filings. I don’t even know if it’s required in some jurisdictions.

You have the 2.0 in a GTi? It’s not unreliable at all, though my VW mechanic has mentioned needing to replace the blocks on a few 2.0s. The 1.8t from the regular Mk7, though, is essentially the same block as the 2.0 but uses a cast-iron crank instead of forged steel in the 2.0; the cast-iron crank is more reliable,

Point of order, Lauren - you say that Philly is a *slower* pace of life than where you’re from?  Did you grow up in a city where everyone was mainlining Adderall? Or, like, Mercury?  I was born and raised in Philly and I haven’t been anywhere, not even NYC, where people are moving as fast and talking as fast as we

As a philly native I...uh...don’t know what’s weird about that combination. It’s also not weird to see homeless people sleeping next to the spot where the Constitution was drafted, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Former Mk7 owner here. They’re never going to top that model for the blend of interior comfort and practicality. It’s the best that VW has ever done. Wish that the 2.0 was as reliable as the 1.8, tho.

Exactly.

I’m aware they’re not interchangeable. I had never been to a place in NM that added anything other than the pepper to anything. You order green, you get roasted green chiles. None of this chili verde nonsense.

Huh. I lived in Santa Fe, we only ever got straight, roasted chile.

Your continual transfer between “green chile” (correct) and “green chili” (wtf is that?) is confusing. They certainly don’t mix their chile peppers with meat, do they?

Just last night I sautéed the best, crispiest broccoli crowns...in bacon grease.

Perhaps this consultant is from the same firm that Epstein used?

Parallel parking on the driver’s side: expert mode.

I was just thinking this. Vodka, scotch, bourbon, gin...those are the best snack foods and are also the most costly.

I’m cool with it because a college degree, or *which* college degree, means fuck-all when it comes to capability or work ethic.

Good point, it’s probably around 1000lbs.

I’ve definitely rented 26’ box trucks with air brakes ;)

I bet it could be done in a different form factor that’s tight enough to the car that they could do a fixed-hitch tongue. The trailer not swaying would make it easier to drive. But otherwise, yeah, tiny trailer that you can’t see on a ball seems like a lot of minor damage waiting to happen.

Considering the base Model3 comes with a 65 kWh battery and (I believe) the Model S used to, I’d venture the X would get another ~220-250 miles of range.

Honestly, it would probably be less rusty if it was submerged 😆

That’s a very aggressive response. Something wrong, bud? Wanna talk it out?
