Must be a millennial way of thinking, but this is totally how I am.
Land Rover uses the stupid lug nuts covered by a thin aluminum skin for...reasons. The lug nut underneath is a standard 21mm, but the top part makes it 22mm...ish...when new. After 100k miles and countless tire shops and idiot dealers, they’re bulging to 23mm...ish. 22 wont go over the nut, 24 is too big and just…
Sometimes you just wanna be close, no matter the danger.
It’s finally nice enough to hang out outside in the hammock. Not pictured: tequila on ice.
Sunday, I followed in the Oppo fashion and adopted a new doggie. Pic of old dog and new dog for reference:
Like most people who ride in my backseat, he puked all over it. Oppo, meet Lincoln!
So a dark horse candidate has entered the “find BrianGriffen a comfy cheap car to protect his ass and back for his 100 mile a day commute”...I found a Granny driven 2010 CTS with only 34,000 miles. Has every option available in the recession era, including a dorky fake key keyless start.

Putting away dishes of all things. It’s been 24 hours and I can just now barely move around without screaming. I’m 33 🙄
Almost every mid(?)-sized sedan (at least that I’m shopping for) is larger than my LR4.
Friend of a friend of a friend got kicked outta his place and is couch surfing, so the pup is living with me (and my gf and our crazy dog) for a few months until he gets settled. Doggo is a good boy but THE FUR OMG THERES FUR EVERYWHERE.
2011 E93 with less than 100k for $13Gs.
This is the oddest wrong-number text I’ve ever been a part of.
Drove a 135i M-sport today. I had such high, life changing hopes that this would be the most amazing automobile experience I’ve ever had.
Let me set the scene: in my new old house, the washer took a crap in my second month living here. No fear! Home warranty (that I thought was a total sham) will be replacing it with a brand new base model front loader. Huzzah!
I’ve maybe convinced my Indian-motorcycle-driving FIL to buy one when he’s gotten “too old” for a bike.
...on the rear of the Rover. I totally could have gotten another year or two out of them, right?
Just got $200 worth of brakes and fluids from Advance for $75 (thanks for the free $40 oil filter Advance!)...Rover is getting new rear brakes as soon as they show up.
As some of you know, I’m a US Government employee. There’s a few more grievances to be aired this year than normal.
Mercedes B-class Electric something or other. There’s a few around me used with low miles for cheap. They seem like a slightly classier Volt alternative for the same amount of money.
