What a load of shit! Just look at The Mandalorian, it’s pure fan-service, done by people that understand and love Star Wars. And guess what? everybody loves it.

I’ll fuck up as many of those groups as I have to until my friends learn to stop talking to me.
Dammit, you chucklefuck, your intentions were perfectly clear. You wanted to hurt and embarrass a total stranger because some stray gross impulse darted across your lizard brain and being a white male, you never even thought to resist or question it. You honestly expected her to find that funny or at least “laugh it…
he, “did not act with any criminal intentions”
The mere fact that you can afford something doesn’t make it a reasonable expenditure, though.
But why would I want to be a poor asshole?
The server will get a big tip regardless. Doesn’t need to be $50 from a single pour. It could be $50 on the whole meal.
If the bar is charging $250 for a pour, I’d hope that the “crystal barware” and “temperature/humidity control” is part of the cost. Tipping a bartender isn’t going to have any impact on whether the bar implements those standards going forward...
Bullshit. Servers aren’t getting paid enough in my area, so they’re quitting and finding other work. Guess what, the restaurants that are paying them better and keeping their employees happy are staying open, and the ones that aren’t are closing.
Nope. The amount of “service” you get is the same for a $1000 pour of scotch vs a $1 pour of scotch. This advice is not surprising that it’s self serving, but it is bullshit.
you don’t like whiskey, we get it... why did you make the same post twice?
Rich people didn’t get rich from letting others take advantage of them. Usually they are the ones taking advantage of others. Unless they were just born rich.
So we are tipping on personal hygiene now?
and you should definitely tip the full 20, just for the time spent.
There is being generous, and then there is just being plain stupid and being taken advantage of because some people tricked you into thinking that tipping $50 because someone poured you a glass is a thing you should do. Tipping the server $5 bucks instead is perfectly reasonable.
Lol. That server hardly earned $80 carrying around the same number of plates compared the the server at Denny’s who only made $10. If anything, it is the cook who probably put in more effort making a fancy and elaborate meal and deserves the extra cash. Tipping on inflated prices is dumb.
Colour me stunned that the answer here to “Must I tip 20%?” was yes.
$5 is reasonable for a pour. You dont have to pay for their whole shift. If they dont like it they can speak to their boss about a livable wage.
Tipping 20% on the scotch is stupid. Enough said.
I turn 50 this month and like scotch. I found a place nearby that has a special 40-year-old VERY rare bottle that’s $248 a pour.
