Hearing that Elon is a Banks fan is strange to me because Iain M. Banks writing came off as socialist leaning and Musk is the posterboy for post millenial capitalism.

The Imperials as depicted in the movies were presented mostly as bored, bureaucratic drudges. They might blow up a planet, but at the end of the day it was just a job.

I like this movie and I don’t like Coen Brothers films in general. This and O Brother, where art thou? are probably the only two films of theirs I like.

I swear Feyd Ratha appeared in the book almost as soon as big daddy Harkkonnen did. Weren’t he and Raban almost always seen in pairs?

The one thing I could get behind in the Nolan trilogy was Bale using different voices as Batman and Bruce Wayne, because Bruce Wayne is supposed to be a secret identity.
