I agree with all of this but I don’t understand why people didn’t like 3D TV. I thought it was awesome. And it was about to get better with UHD round the corner.

My friend got the full power oculus rift a long time ago and I tried it out and I was like...cool, okay. Then the Meta Quest 2 or whatever it was called then came out and he got it (with the link up) and encouraged me to get it and I held off...then another friend got it for his kid and his kid got really into this…

I am still playing Rifts 30 years later and it has so much darker shit in it than D&D. Clearly the school board never saw the cover of the initial book. 

And to think parents’ groups in the ‘80s said this would lead to devil worship. It’s 2022, and my kid’s in a sanctioned D&D club at his school (Catholic school, no less); they’re going to see this as a group this weekend.

As has been noted, this really looks a lot more like scripted Drunk History than a follow-up to the original movie. But I still hope it’s at least fun.
