This is bullshit. Just a CEO trying to cover the company's ass amidst a PR crisis. I can't believe he would think some pussyfoot comments like this would make up for their company's involvement in this tragedy.

I think it's absurd that the featured discussion is about the water resistance of SD cards and not the fact that a POLICE OFFICER pointed an armed handgun at someone who was simply recording the events that unfolded on a cell phone camera....this is absurd. Even though some states have outlawed filming police

@ddhboy: None of these physical components except the CDMA/GSM chips are outside of the ordinary for smartphones. And OpenOffice is a free app on the Android market, not exactly like they're breaking the bank to pay for that.

an interesting total number of balls..

@sototallycarl: While there is and always has been a strong development community behind HTC, the Motorola cooks are excellent. I have had a Droid since release, and I have only had to wait maybe a couple days for Google's released source to show up in someone's ROM. There are some fantastic Moto ROMs out there too

@butaneko: Props. That manga was the craziest thing I ready in a while.

I used HelixLauncher for a while but I found it way too unstable for everyday use. It crashed often, so I started hunting android forums trying to find a better replacement: LauncherPro. Its absolutely the best home screen app I have used, and felt no problems donating 4 dollars to the person who made it. The new

The image is really cool, nice job.

@learniiburn: I really want this game for Android. Would definitely pay a few bucks for it too.

I feel like this deserves a bigger article... This is kind of a big deal ($7,700,000,000 is a lot of money)

@jupiterthunder: Ah, I completely forgot that they updated the Navigation back in November for 1.6 users. I believe that originally it was only for eclair devices.

@ianoo: While Google has said that, many of the API's that are required for features to work are only available on devices with at least 2.0 running. Which is why Navigation is only available in 2.0+ devices

If you're going to bring up alternative home screen apps, you have to mention LauncherPro. At this point I believe its still in beta, but it is quite stable. I started using it on stock 2.1, but kept it when I rooted to 2.2 because it is so great. LauncherPro check it out.

@Ic3Cold: Not anymore. Swype requires users to put in a code given only to beta testers directly from Swype. So unfortunately youre SOL until they open up the beta again.

Think 1984. Scary.

I will watch anything with bill nye in it

Can we include barcode tags to posts like these please?
