Yeah, that’s nuts. We paid minimums (as dictated by our finances) for a good, long time. It sucks. We’re lucky enough to have the ability to take every extra penny we deem not totally necessary to our daily lives (including budgeting for dates, vacations, etc) to put towards loans.

Nice work. Snowballs are the way to go, but require a lot of discipline to be able to see the forest for the trees. It’s easy to want to spend that extra money you’re putting on top of the minimums.
