The most irritating thing about this match was the fact that Argentina never should have had that final chance at the end. What could (and should) have been a red shown to Otamendi netted them another minute of time. I understand what stoppage time is for and how it works, but if I’m the ref, especially after that…

Didn’t even watch the ad, but the first thing I noticed from the screen grab was the lack of saturation and the gun. Didn’t need to know any more about her positions based on those two things.

I think that’s a fair assessment. There were birdies to be had on Thursday and Friday, but the field didn’t find a lot of them. I think Saturday left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve nearly been hit from behind by people on bikes (I won’t call them cyclists because cyclists ride on the street) while out walking with my daughter in Cap Hill. It’s a nightmare and seems to be getting worse all the time.

What the position of “general manager” even entails for the national team and whether Stewart will be any good at it are anyone’s guess, but it seems safe to assume America’s soccer trajectory is as horizontal today as it was yesterday.
