I’m usually willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but I’ve always thought of Fox’s coverage as inferior to CBS, ABC/ESPN, and NBC. Worst looking picture (not sure who is doing the shading for them) but the color is so flat, coupled with bad announcing. Just always feels like they’re trying to do too much.

Not even remotely trying to defend Fox, but that’s not piped in. They have mics in the cups.

If they can determine that it wasn’t DJ that caused it to move. Uneven blades of grass, wind, you name it. The fact that multiple pros are up in arms over it says it all for me, though. Play has absolutely suffered since everyone was notified.

Hockey’s got it all figured out. Call the goal and review while play continues. Then the referee can disallow the goal at the next stoppage. You don’t lose time, the flow continues, and then you can restart at the place the infraction occurred.

It IS special. When Bradley dropped deeper in the Ecuador match (or Bolivia, whichever was the second of three tune-up games) and Nagbe came on, EVERYTHING good happened.

I missed the entire second half, but I heard it was less convincing and that Bradley was in absolute shambles.

I guess it’s just nice to not look at it and say “Yeah, we got killed and could be down 5-0" against a really good team.

I wish we took chance better, but the build up and possession has been pretty okay! Finishing is another story (that matters, unfortunately).

Does anyone feel as harshly done as I do about being down? We don’t deserve to be up, but I really don’t feel like we should be down, either. Surprisingly competent 45 mins (set piece and handball aside.)

Ha! I’ll admit they’re not the easiest to clean, but they’re way faster than me using a knife...mostly because my knife skills are terrible. Plus, garlic sticks to the knife blade, thus resulting in it sticking to your hands.
