Fun Fact!

That is the exact reason I love my wagon so much. It is so unexpected. The look on people's faces when you take off is always hilarious.

Dodge Dakota R/T

'94 5-speed EX coupe is my DD still going strong at 288k miles and, as far as my records show, the original clutch. I always tell people it's not a sports car. It's a slightly sporty car. It's comfortable, efficient, and cheap but it can be fun to push to the very approachable limits and run up to the red line on

I am big old school Volvo guy. So, like most of Volvo guys, I am a complete cheap-ass. So, I give this thing massive points for the conversion (never seen an Amazon pick-up conversion before), but it's still a CP.

Navistar did not inherit the CAT mess. Navistar's EGR system is completely and totally different from CAT's ACERT system. They both were attempting to meet the EPA's emissions regulations using only EGR, but the way they went about it was completely different. Eventually, the issues CAT was having forced them to leave

You have to watch it, though. Most of the diesel engines found in smaller pick-ups get detuned when going into larger applications for durability/longevity. It's not to stressful for the engine to make 400 hp in a pick-up that is occasionally carrying something versus a medium-duty truck that is hauling 70,000 pounds

Yes, but they are under the Maxxforce brand name. They have the Maxxforce7, which is a 6.4L V8. It is basically the old Powerstroke 6.4L with newer emissions hardware and survives mostly in Navistar buses and the Terrastar pictured above. Navistar also makes the MaxxforceDT, which is a 7.6L inline-6. It goes primarily

Eh, from everything I have heard (and I am very involved in the diesel engine world) the fault is on both ends. Navistar did screw up the engine design. There is no question about that. However, a lot of it was because Ford's demands were outrageous. They wanted a diesel engine that cost the same and had the same NVH

Sadly, this is the price you pay for living in a big city and especially for parking in the street. Both my cars wear their city battle scars to this day. I lived in downtown Chicago and was always in awe whenever you saw a car, any car, that didn't have scuffed paint, dented bumpers, the massive scratch running down

I gotcha...just giving you a hard time.

Sticker's $57,400. Expect a full review next week, probably in Truck Yeah! And feel free to drop some questions into the comments and I'll get to them as I can.

Nope, just a bad picture.

Dodge's 'Go ManGo'.

Yeesshhh! And I thought the Chinese were notorious for copyright infringement....

It is....especially if you get the phenomenal 6-spd manual.

I will agree with you on that generation and the two generations before. Those seemed focus more on chasing the Camry, but the newest generation and the old Accords are great cars. Yes, they are econo-boxes but the are at least econco-boxes that are engagin and fun to drive.

Using the Kansei methodology, a form of engineering that translates the consumers' psychological feelings and needs to improve upon products and services, the Air Aroma fragrance team created a bespoke fragrance that is a true representation of the multinational automotive juggernaut.

Good write-up!
