To each his own, I guess. If I had $52k to spend on a truck, I'd be too worried that I'd scratch or dent it by using it as...well, a truck.

The sedan is the least expensive option because it comes in the base trim (S) whereas the hatch does not. If you compare the mid-trim of sedan and the base trim of the hatchback (both called the SE), the hatch is only more expensive by $500 rather than $1815, which is not bad at all for the extra versatility.
