I literally woke up that AM from having Surgery the night before, and watched 9/11 happen from my hospital bed. & I was on some GOOD drugs at the time. So your description has 'special meaning' for me, that's for damn sure. I miss Jennings as well, great man. Like Cronkite before him. I still say that the U2

Actually a lot of love for REM on this thread if you look through it all :)

Sick to think that ANYONE deserves a miscarriage (don't worry, I get the joke) but if I have to pick ONE baby to root for … well, I'm a Raider fan, so I'ma go with Kerry Washington.

For that one, it's Rush Limbaugh … no-brainer there.

Well, the late GG Allin would work with just about any possible bodily fluid …

Interestingly, because opiates are basically just a 'mimic' of one's own natural endorphins, in and of themselves, they're rather shockingly benign (similar to marijuana) in terms of 'damage to the organs'. Obviously, there's the addiction and the OD potential while someone is actively using, but if one puts it

Absolutely. Is that TRUE? That's very, very sad. Love me some Dame Judi as well. She's in my thoughts and hopes …

Indeed … The world will be a much poorer place w/o Dame Maggie. Can't agree more. There's a small handful alive today I'd call 'arguably her equal' in terms of sheer acting prowess, but there's not a one I'd call superior. She is truly as great as they come. I will indeed shed a tear on 'that day'.

See my list below about 25 posts down … I have all but Bill Berry on my very long list of people I don't wanna see go … and that's only cause I never felt like I knew the guy like the other 3. Anyone who chooses REM can probably relate to a lot of my choices ;)

All of the following are almost certain not to last > the next 25 years, and losing each of these people is going to totally suck when it happens:

If/when any of these people pass (in some cases unlikely since I'm only slightly younger than a handful of them), I'm certain I will openly and unashamedly weep:
