That is a better idea, props to you

Why doesnt the ICANN simply disallow the use of common nouns as top level domain names, allowing only proper nouns (like product names and places)? Let's face it, with our dependence on the internet steadily growing, any company that can secure a broad domain like news or books will essentially have a monopoly on

That first one brings back fond images of C.S. Lewis' "Out of the Silent Planet". Man that was a cool book.

One of the best pieces of advice I've ever gotten is to attack your own belief/argument hardest. Not only does this ensure you avoid confirmation bias, it ensures the conclusion you draw in the end is factually and logically based, not the result of an already formed opinion.

It's kinda funny how they mentioned the metal "I'll survive anything" card, despite the fact that the 16GB metal card is $10 cheaper than the 32GB Sandisk. Unless you absolutely need the space, I'd rather go with the metal.

Despite the people bashing this for its seemingly impracticality, I can attest this is great on long camping trips. I remember in Boy Scouts we had a 10 day long campout once and these things were great for washing clothes. Not machine washed sure, but they served their purpose very well.

At 18 years old I'm 8/30. Most of these I read for school, but some (LotR and Treasure Island) I've read for fun. I'm also kind of surprised to see no Dickens there, but I guess that's because A Tale of Two Cities is my favorite book.

I can just imagine the people who first saw these pics.

No, you're far from alone. IMHO though, Ruby/Sapphire was decent.

Ive seen Totoro and Mononoke, and wasn't Chihiro the girl in Spirited Away?

Studio Ghibli has a knack for great animated films, especially family-friendly ones. The article already mentioned Spirited Away, but Howl's Moving Castle and Nausicaa are also fantastic.

I was just about to link to that vid... oh well, here it is anyways.

Even if she was saying this for the sake of illustrating that the crew was far from earth, saying "We're a couple hundred trillion miles from earth" would have been more accurate and worked just as well.

Depends on your own skill level with following instructions and how old the wii is (the older the easier). Ironically, one of my favorite things about my modded wii is that you can back up the whole system so if it does brick later on, you can very easily recover.

I once bought a little stone for sharpening knives and it came with a small angled piece of plastic that was supposed to keep the knife at the proper* angle. It didn't work well at all, but it was an interesting idea.

Reminds me of Scribblenauts, but with two player battles. I'm in!

Ah, I didn't know Microsoft bought Rare.

I'm definitely missing something with the whole Johanna Dark thing. She was in a game developed by Rare and debuted on the N64. How is she an MS mascot?

The original article about the MOGA said Gameloft has already agreed to support the device.
