“...reminded me of learning about the religious persecution suffered by early Catholics centuries ago.”

From the update site:

I lost it at Hologram Heath Ledger!! That is fantastic good sir.

Combine detective-styled puzzle solving with survival horror a la Amnesia or Eternal Darkness. Also throw in a decent story and voice acting. It really is a solid game; I would recommend it to any horror fan.

So when I first read the title, I though it meant a marine veterinarian. As in, a fish doctor. Now I feel dumb.

I really like the pictorial annotation thing. Great job to whoever thought of it!

I keep multiple backups. I have stuff on flash drives, Dropbox, Box.com, Mega.co.nz, and friends' computers. It can be obnoxious keeping all the different backups up to date, but even a slightly outdated backup is better than nothing at all. Best of all, none of this is costing me anything.

I'm kinda surprised to see nothing of the 3 Ancients from Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. Those things were weird as hell.

As someone who used Ubuntu to begin experimenting with new OSs and playing with the inner workings of computers in general, here's what I've seen:

This could have also been a joke. Who knows.

When I was studying Spanish in high school (I know that hardly counts, but whatever), I downloaded a few roms of video games in Spanish. This works especially well for text-heavy RPGs. I think Pokemon was my favorite one, because there was always so much reading to be done in that game.

Anyone else thinking space elevator right now? I know carbon nanotubes were looking like the way to go but I could see this being cheaper and faster overall.

"...or a nearby available outlet where you can plug in an adapter."

With the recent talk of a new Source engine, Valve may have decided to wait until that is more developed to release Half-Life (Ep) 3 on it. Since the original Half-Life games were renowned for their physics engines, why shouldn't this segment get its own?

One of the pics seems to show a perforated line just below the pencil-holding section. I would think that it allows for tearing, but who knows.

As a Lifehacker reader named Brett, I find the title image very unnerving.

That is awesome. Thanks!

Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 pinned to the taskbar? Awww yeah.

I don't understand why a voting system needs something like Windows at all. In fact, if a simple, dedicated OS was used, it would probably be more secure than any Windows OS, 2003 or otherwise. Maybe then I could get on the electronic voting bandwagon, but until its deemed a secure system I can't give my support

This didn't come up for me. The only option was to print out a $0.75 coupon for either toilet paper or paper towels.
