Yeah, realistically, Maeve would leave the Park, only to be crushed by a bus because she was remembering walking down the avenue as the brothel keeper and not paying attention to the road in front of her.

That's not her powers. She's going insane. She doesn't know when she is, because her memories aren't flagged as such. She has super-PTSD. A human in a similar state can kill someone they love because they think they are fighting in a warzone - where they were twenty years ago.

Which makes me think that they can't survive outside the Park anyway; the infrastructure for their maintenance would be removed.

Plot twist: they are all hosts. Even Ford. Especially Ford.

Yes, i have to laugh at the people saying HBO hates women, because the men here are just morons. You have a low level criminal, happy to backstab his friend and desperate to survive, being threatened with murder - and he's the one who holds the remote that can decrease her stats.

They faked a robot going evil in order to either damage Ford directly or get rid of Bernard, thus weakening him indirectly, and also conducted industrial sabotage.

Because she's been working in a silly theme park, and probably living in a world where everything is safe, and the nice but pathetically weak man she has known for years is not a threat to her, couldn't possibly be a threat, things like that just don't happen…

"Does HBO just hate women completely"

Quite a lot, given an opportunity. There's some wonderful WW2 dramas made in Germany.

Yeah, i can understand having a probe going up there, replacing a chip, and then re-using the host, but the drill is purely to make the audience squirm.

It's not clear what personality she has of her own. She's manipulative, aggressive and dangerous. We, the audience, liked the fictional character - but we do not know her, heck, she doesn't even know her.

" they can't make changes to Maeve's personality that would be noticed by other people"

I can't remember their names - but the bird dude seems like a genuinely nice guy who would help Maeve anyway. The other dude - he's only out for his own skin, which Maeve has just threatened. And he knows exactly how to take her out - worst case is it gets him fired.

Unfortunately it looks like her chip was damaged, by undetected shrapnel. It happens. The body is still fine. Shall we replace the chip?

Yes, when he was being blackmailed into upping her intelligence, i kept wondering why he didn't do the opposite.

"Such as using the violent death of a woman as a plot driver."

"I loved her line about not being the damsel."

Has any vulva been visible? I'd thought it all covered by the merkins.

It's almost as if rape had a particularly strong emotional response, and drama was about evoking emotions.

But that's not what Dracula says when she's out of earshot. He is The Seducer. He says and does what it takes to manipulate, to deceive. He cares no more for Vanessa than you would care for a tapeworm.
