I think people who haven’t had much exposure to a drunken parent/relative are being much more harsh on her while millions of us are sitting here getting it and maybe wishing our parents had the strength or resources to protect us.

Exactly, we agree. It is much easier to rehab someone whose crimes are due to social economic circumstances, like robbers and dealers, than pedophiles and other sex offenders.

If their sexual preference is for children, how can that be rehabilitated? I don’t understand it. If most people agree that conversion therapy for homosexuality doesn’t work, and is just plain wrong, why is it that we think a pedophile can be rehabilitated?
