I can respect that…but what did he EXPECT the ABC sitcom of it to be? AFAIK, it's not as though he made the deal expecting it to be a serious drama and then they changed it.

If Univision foots the bill, then El Rey would no doubt still show it.
Note that in this episode, he is told that the fires were started by "20 men, possibly less"…and he says nothing.
Love it!
"…or possibly eyeless teleporters, precognitive porcupine people, or other random superheroes."
Yes, he did say that…but it's still stupid. If he had time to go to Nanda Parabat to save Ollie and his friends, he had time to save Starling City. Or at least spend, you know, 45 seconds searching the city for the Alpha Omega or something.
I'm just imagining Jake and Amy, in unison, crying out:
Jake My Day FTW.
My respect for Stannis has also grown—ESPECIALLY when he corrected the misuse of "less". It's FEWER! Stannis the Mannis!
Yes, I think you nailed with the last bit—*I* wouldn't call him a loser, but I think he does believe himself to be one. And I think that's pretty realistic. Interesting points about his other relationships. I would add that I always felt that Priya really didn't see a long-term future with Leonard (how much of that…
"except for that time Sheldon's hot and smart assistant was attracted to Leonard"…and Priya, and Stephanie, and Alice. And Joyce Kim, but she was just using him for scientific spying, so I guess not. (I'm not counting Leslie Winkle because she never really seemed to care about him. Or Judy Greer's character, who was…
I thought this episode was awesome. Unlike the reviewer, I wasn't looking for a happy ending—that's for next season, as far as I'm concerned. A+ from me.
I had totally forgotten about that season premiere—excellent job pointing out those parallels!
"Also, Barry, since anyone can walk in any old time, you might want to either take the Flash suit off or keep the cowl up…nah, just kidding, that's crazy talk!"
Do you mean power ballads? Because "Mandy" sounds nothing like power pop to my ears, not to mention that the key power pop progenitors—The Beatles, The Who, The Searchers, The Beach Boys—and the "holy trinity" of power pop superstars—Badfinger, Big Star, and The Raspberries—had all done their greatest work by then.…
Yes, "live-action video game" nails it. It totally looked like a first-person shooter, and in a very good way.
Just because 2024 is when Barry/Flash disappears doesn't mean that it's when Reverse-Flash is originally from.
Man, as much as I'm digging the CW DC stuff (well, apart from the current storyline mess on Arrow), I would so be a mark for an Earth-2 movie or TV show. I always wanted to see an All-Star Squadron movie, with Martin Sheen as Per Degaton, although he's getting a bit old for that now. Also a Power Girl movie starring…
You know how human beings tend not to be attracted to the people they grew up with? Which is why Iris just thinks of you as a friend? THAT WAS ME, BARRY!!!!
Interesting! So it's an inconsistency that actually reflects reality. Good for them.
