I hated cash for clunkers. I wanna see the people that could barely afford a new car back then and see how they maintained them over the years.

It’s not pragmatic. Actually looking at what people do this isn’t a deterrent people will still drive.

At state inspection station - sir your car is 5 years old. These bulbs get dimmer over time it’s a safety hazard we need to replace every exterior bulb you wanna be within state regs.

And pulling you over and giving you a monetary fine don’t comply!

I live in a state which mandates 2 year safety inspections. At least once a week I’ll see someone with two out and once in a while all three and let’s just say these weren’t nice new rich people cars. People will drive regardless if they have a sticker saying they passed inspection

Shops use the line all the time. “You don’t want to have an officer tow you” “preventive maintenance” “well I wouldn’t let my child drive this car” it for goes on. Hell I had a commissioned shop desk worker tell me I needed front pads when they did them 5 months prior. (Daily driver no track use)

25 year old classics! No inspections there.

Plus if you really wanna drive you will regardless if you’re drunk, high, registered, insured, inspected etc. this hurts those in the middle trying to do the right thing.

My man do you know how many people drive without licenses, reg, insurance, etc. People will drive everyday if they should be or not. This is a tax on those trying to do the right thing and inspect their car only to get nickled and dimed for it. I see it every single day.  

David this is the worst post you have ever made. RI went from basic to horrendous. State mandates inspections, shops pay for state equipment, training, license and other fees yearly. Shop makes this investiment to get repairs. The little money they make from inspections isn’t nothing compared to the time it takes to…

I’ve seen Gidi and AMS run Gtrs in Ohio at the Buscher Shootout. This car isn’t insane. Gidi crashes a 7sec GTR at the 2015 shootout and man that was sad. Car is insane. Awesome to see run. 200MPH is the next milestone.

Same thing. Honestly I like to test drive as many cars as possible. I tell the salesmen that and tell I can go on the drive alone to not burn up potential sales time for them. Some get it but man some get annoying. I want to drive all entry level trucks and won’t be buying today.

Don’t judge someone’s pizza intake.

Just trying to combat torque steer, wheel hop, and understeer seems like a challenge heck I hope they can do it I am really rooting for this car to be awesome.

It’s all about waiting and searching for the best deal. Can be time consuming but it can be done.
