Almost that time of year in Rhode Island (it’s a state) where we start to De-crud our cars. Few more weeks can’t wait. Lines at the car washes will be insane.

Oh and I forgot in 2009 I did the E-town, NJ Evo vs Sti shootout. Man what a sad drag racing field it was for the WRX/STi crowd.

I remember when I was drag racing the evo8 consistently and watching Evo MR 6spd guys along with STi guys they were in shifting all the time. Most Evo MR guys were swapping the 5spd in.

How are the 2016/2017 WRX? Any major issues coming out. Thinking about one as my next daily driver.

I sold my 91 Galant VR4 and bought a 2003 Evo 8 GSR. Wicked fun car. Amazing brakes, good handling, and power was insane with a few mods you were in the low 11s. Now that the Evo is dead (wasn’t a fan of the 10). I kinda want a WRX for a daily driver.

Hey are you a Denimhead? The name looks familiar from the old clothing forums I used to post on.

No doubt it is a great car in manual form to amateur race in some fashion.

Did he at least drive himself into a lake or something.

Co-workers and friends mistake me for Brent NADA or Brent KBB. Every time one of them is looking to buy a car they instantly ask me what a 2014 Sierra with 43k on it is currently going for. Like I am Nostracarmus or something.

RIP

I agree with this. 1/4 mile times aren’t the bench mark anymore. Track records and times seem to be what they are shooting for. The Viper TA is honestly amazing and I am not a Dodge fan at all.

Nah the car will be big league though.

Seriously the first of the big 3 that put out a stripper V8 RWD manual car. The Camaro 1SS is still too luxury. The Z28 is a fortune and just more than I would want. No accessories, cheap, quick.

Yeah machines don’t have souls they simply are a machine that helps us find our own souls.

I just get the feeling it’s an appliance he likes. Why not fix the armrest, clean the floors, fix the door panels and maybe get ontop of the rust situation.

Like how the hell can this owner project on poor Bob when gen hasn’t talked to Bob. Maybe the author is comparing a fictional guy to a real person? Bob could be an ex-mechanic that has a bad left hip and love some convertibles. Heck Miatas are converts!

I got the same thing. Doesn’t seem to be a story of a car guy at all. More about a utilitarian type that sees the car as an appliance.

I don’t get that Greg is a car guy at all. Come on fix the interior a little bit. I mean just a bit like a $10 arm rest. Then again the author seems a bit confused.

It’s a must. I had a 72 402/4spd chevelle and currently have a monster 250/powerglide haha seriously 350s can be fun but a true big block is a different world.

Something about an early C3 with a big block fun cars.
