I think that’s the problem with our culture. As Americans, we believe the road belongs to cars first and everyone else is just impeding them. Most other nations put everyone else first and cars last. For example, in the Netherlands, crosswalks are at the same level as the sidewalks so that drivers know when the drive

Indecent exposure charge from what I’ve seen. Misdemeanor, $1,000 fine. Meh.

Yea, no. The more vulnerable you are, the more right of way you should be granted. Cars yield to cyclists who yield to pedestrians.

Keep in mind that current and voltage have an inverse relationship (when the power is held steady). For example charging a rate of 100kw @ 400v would require (100,000 w/400v) 250A. But, if you double the charging voltage to 800v then your charging current is cut in half for the same rate of 100kw. Depending on the

Sort of. The article also states that 30% of the containers at the ports are empty and those are what these “sweeper” ships are being tasked with collecting.

We need cases like this to be more visible for the general population. As a cyclist, I’ve had plenty of close calls from drivers (especially in AL). It’s not at all uncommon to get buzzed and flicked off on a regular weekday ride. What’s interesting is that it almost exclusively happens in the rural and suburban

Re-taping should be fine. But, you should use rubber insulating tape first, then cover that with your typical vinyl electrical tape. If you want to get really fancy, you’ll first use glass fiber tape, then rubber, then vinyl. The glass allows you remove all the tape easily in the event you need to take apart the

Each motor has it’s own independent speed feedback device so “locking” them all together shouldn’t be too much of an issue. I design and build industrial control systems and it’s very common.

If not human then what are race car drivers?

Mini driver left the keys on top of one of the tires.

I’ve got a press fit BB on my aluminum frame MTB and I ended up canning the stock plastic unit for a BB Infinite model. It’s a press fit but it’s a single piece of metal. No problems since replacing it.

Save the integrated circuits!

I’ve had a few close calls over the past 3 years since I’ve gotten into cycling. Many people think it’s fun to mess with cyclists and it’s inevitable that some will go too far, like this kid. Need to teach him (and the wider public) a lesson.

Just FYI, the wattage in a DC circuit will tell you the current draw if you also know the voltage. The calculation is just volts x amps = watts. In this case, 400W @ 12v should yield a current draw of about 33.3A.

If they made a model for $24k it would not be this nicely appointed. Plus, with federal tax incentives, you’re only paying about $26k. That’s pretty close to your target. Unless you are saying $24k before tax incentives, at which point the vehicle would cost $16.5k afterwards. The ICE version starts at $22k so I don’t

You always change your pick when they ask you if you want to swap.

Saw this too. It’s about 91 inches although, for a second, I thought it’s so small that maybe he meant CM (which would make the wheelbase about 3 feet).

I know of at least a couple cars that have buttons in the glovebox. My ‘17 VW Passat and my wife’s ‘16.5 Mazda CX-5 have the TPMS reset button in the glovebox.

I drove a diesel ‘15 then that got bought back for more than what I paid (with about 76k miles) and I got a ‘17. I’ve got about 114k on the clock and still ticking. Speaking of clocks, the only failure I’ve had with mine was a clockspring at around 92k. Other than that, it’s been regular maintenance.

And you can see it, in-person, at Barber’s Motorcycle Museum in Alabama. And you can also see a bike that folds into a suitcase at the museum. It’s a pretty awesome place. Come during the first week of October and you can also enjoy the vintage motorcycle festival!
