Roll Tide Y'all

A sentimental favorite of mine

For me, it comes to selflessness. Isn’t this the time of year when we are supposed to put others ahead of ourselves? Put your wants and desires on the backburner for a while and think of how your actions affect others.

Did this FAA administrator have a firearm pointed at him during the filming of this (proof of life) video?

Roll Tide! In all seriousness, I think the reusability is the key for future space travel. The anticipated cost for each Starship launch is in the 10's of Millions so it won’t even be competitive. It may even be less than 10 Million if all we’re paying for is fuel. At that point there is no way to justify SLS, even by

They don’t call it the “Senate Launch System” for nothing. Way too much pork for many different states for Congress to give up on it yet. It’s years behind schedule and billions over budget but no one seems to mind because they money is still flowing to their districts.

Lockdown Babbel courses FTW!

Nice try. We all know the earth is flat. Just look it up on YouTube.

Agreed. Those are not near misses. Viewed at .25x speed, they are perfectly normal. The ping-ponging behavior is a bit weird, not unsafe, but other than that I think it all looks pretty good.

But when is that going to happen? They are not releasing the $80k version until 2024 and that’s got less range and power than this one.

The affluent community that buys top end GMCs now ($80k trucks in their own right) will flock to these things. They’ll be at country clubs across the country in no time. You will see them valet parked in front of the finest restaurants in your city.

I’m getting tired of these six-figure EVs. If we want mass adoption of EVs then we have to get them more affordable. A little higher than comparable gas vehicles is OK due to the reduced long-term costs of an EV. It’s better looking than cybertruck but at this price I don’t think that really matters.

Fire Ray Watts!

Yup. They are counting on people not understanding how to calculate a mean.

Agreed. This thing is hideous. I’m all for EVs but why must they be ugly or retro-futuristic (looking at you cyber truck)? Rivian certainly has the right idea about the design.

This is now the nicest vehicle that David owns.

Long Way Round was one of the reasons I became interested in adventure riding. After graduating from college, my Dad and I rode the Trans-American Trail on dual sport bikes. One of the best experiences of my life. It took 26 days(and 5,200 miles) to travel from TN to the Pacific Coast in Oregon. I rode a 2001 KTM 640

He net worth is only based on him owning a quarter the shares of the company. Depending on what happens with those shares, his net worth could be significantly reduced by the end of the day. With 91.6 million shares, his net worth as of 10:40 CDT is about $2.5 Billion.

Continental does have some mountain bike tires with very Germanic names (Der Kaiser and Der Baron). Whether those are offensive to some, I don’t know.

Agreed! I returned to MTBing in 2018 and started back with a second hand Trek hardtail from 2003 for about $100. It was ok but after a few months I decided I was going to stick with it so I bought a new bike (Canyon Spectral) and the first ride out on the new bike was eye opening.

Same. Let’s get a written copy, please.
