Agreed! I returned to MTBing in 2018 and started back with a second hand Trek hardtail from 2003 for about $100. It was ok but after a few months I decided I was going to stick with it so I bought a new bike (Canyon Spectral) and the first ride out on the new bike was eye opening.

Reminds me of my ‘92 EG hatch. I loved that car and spend many weekends and nights wrenching on it. It was the first car that I engine swapped. I got a JDM D15B VTEC and an SI tranny to put in that sucker. Loved that car.

The other issue here is that this is only a temporary set up as far as run time because the vehicle cannot charge the battery bank fast enough to keep it running continuously. He claims that he’s running the lights off of a bank of 6-cell LiPO batteries, which would make the system voltage 22.5 volts, or thereabouts.

I’m guessing they won’t take out batteries. They will just alter the programming to use them differently. They’ll be able to make more power since the lap times are significantly shorter than the nord.

Assuming this frunk is weather tight, this would be perfect for contractors. I carry tools in my vehicle now for work and I’d love to be able to free up space in the bed by utilizing a frunk for tool storage.
