Honestly doesn't bother me in the least. Sounds like an acute case of #firstworldproblems to me. If this is the most annoying thing in your day, I think you have a pretty easy life.

I think a lot of people miss that point. They are attempting to fabricate scarcity where it need not exist, in order to drive up profits. Many of the financial issues we face currently are due to large corporations leveraging scarcity economics in what I feel is an unfair manner.

As a side note: I would recommend the excellent documentary film "This Film Has Not Yet Been Rated" ( [www.imdb.com] ) for an inside look into the stranglehold the MPAA has over the REAL content producers.

Agree!

I see what you did there...

It's not 24 hours later, it rips on the fly (that's why he mentioned it being gone when its finished). There is a few minutes of delay, but seriously you could queue it up, pop some popcorn, and its ready to go.

I did, I still choose to disagree. And for the record I have had more than a couple very close friends die tragically young as well (a punk rock youth can sometimes show you things you wish you hadn't seen), but that doesn't immediately qualify me for some "holier-than-thou" posturing on how individuals should behave

That's exactly what I was thinking!

Couldn't agree more. The most annoying things about sites with auto-play is that it always creates a jarring dissonance with whatever I'm already listening to.

Right?!

Strongly disagree. All fascist douche bags should be subjected to ridicule post-mortem, even more than they were in life.

My thoughts exactly :)

Uh, perhaps I'm interpreting this wrong, but as I read it the device "could play Blu-Ray-quality video and stream it to TV".

The English language is the result of so many grammatical mutations that questions of "proper" English become almost silly. Just compare Chaucer with any modern author to see what I mean. As much as being pedantic about grammar may yield elusive feelings of temporary superiority, the very concept of an official

Love it when folks quote bible quotes to the misinformed adherents. Well done indeed!

Thank you for clarifying what I was trying to say ad hoc. I hope I am reading your comment's intentions correctly in assuming we are on the same side. I live in a localized culture that often distinguishes between the two viewpoints strictly upon party lines, and find it refreshing that many "out there" see it

Extremely extensible? Okay, then use it to develop Python (not IronPython, the lame knockoff), or Java, or Ruby, or Javascript, or any other "non-.Net" language. It is "light years away" from Eclipse only in officially sanctioned languages, which is EXACTLY my point.

It's very refreshing to see the comments on this relatively innocuous Gizmodo article spark so many solidly informed opinions. The buck shot recommendation to avoid collateral damage is the sort of information that should be spread in a responsibly informed forum. And, as a proud liberal, I wholly agree with your

Very good point, and the reason you never hear "My wife was savagely assaulted, but I am proud to say I didn't use a gun, as that would be wrong in this situation."
