It has frustrated me to no end that there are so few decent ways to do hands-free back and forth texting on an Android device. I am definitely trying this out.

Super helpful, thanks. I constantly get stuck at the colour selection stage.
If you’d like a laptop that will last beyond 4 years, I would recommend NOT buying an Apple product. Since 2012, MacBooks are almost invariably built of one solid logic board, which means limited upgrades or modification. When one component invariably fails, the whole board is dead - if this happens after the 4-year…
Do people find deprecation useful for productivity? I am finding that pats on the back work better.
Indeed. I use one of these for cooling mash as part of brewing beer. I save the runoff and use it for cleaning, but the more effective approach is a counterflow chiller - not something you can build at home, however.
Nonononononono! Just another horribly desperate attempt at a creative IKEA hack. gone wrong.
Tried them. All of them. None compete with a pro service. Owncloud is clunky and messes up some synchronization tasks. Subsonic works, but its only skin is an html table-based 1990s design.
This really is a game changer. Our gigantic gaming PCs can now become home servers stored away in a (hopefully air conditioned) closet.
My experience was that this did not work until I opted in for beta on my host PC - Go to Steam > Settings and opt in in the first window. Just in case it's necessary on OSX clients, in Menu Bar go to Steam > Preferences. In the first panel there will be a Beta participation button.

Free money? Lifehackered DDoSed in 8 seconds.
Another thing rarely mentioned is that it is very common for a woman to suffer the inability to produce sufficient milk at the right rate for the child. Mothers are often surprised and depressed that their child is starving and requires a supplement of formula, and ought to have been informed of this reality. In my…
Yes. Don't spend money on a pricey machine right away. I have been told time and again by coffee connoisseurs that if you have limited money to spend on coffee hardware, spend it on a high-quality burr grinder. A Moka (even a drip, they say) will make amazing coffee with the proper grind.

Yup, converted from Netbeans to Sublime. Whenever I see a cool feature in another IDE, I look and sure enough it's also available for Sublime. It's built on minimalistic ideas, so more screen is dedicated to code, instead of to rows and rows of hundreds of tiny buttons like most IDEs. I love that Package Manager gives…
Voice control, in my experience, has always proven inefficient in an editing environment due to the constant need to move the cursor to very many different places. My recommendation to increase programming speed is learning a toolkit such as Emmet.io. Emmet allow a programmer to use abbreviated tags and mathematical…
Look for old Bitcoin mining gear. Lots of people dumping cheap HD5850s right now.
Looks interesting - a well-put-together app by cinema enthusiasts. I've already bought into the Plex ecosystem, or I might give this a serious go.
This morning I decided to extend my main Cat5 ethernet wire so I could stash my router in a spare closet. Plastic cards are perfect for pushing in individual strands of Cat5 wire into the sharp inserts of a keystone jack.
Not to mention a sweaty hand.
