In a shitbox car, on a terrible road? Like I mean a really bad road. Doing 100 km/hr (60 mph) on some days is scary because of the amount of wind that always seems to be blowing there.

When I read it, it seemed to be an insult to me. And no, it doesn't mean he is.
The person said he didn't know how to drive if that's how he was driving, he just showed he knows how to drive. It was taken as an insult (I would have taken it that way as well) and he responded not with insults, but evidence to the contrary.
The other thing is, I don't really have a problem with it if no one but the driver is in danger... This was a base model Lancer, with five teenagers inside. Four of them so terrified they couldn't talk afterwards.
This was at night, on a very bumpy and windy highway, and that speed is after he slowed down. None of our roads here are safe enough to be going that fast, otherwise this wouldn't have been the fastest speeder caught over the entire year.
Oh, I completely understand. It can make a person much more valuable to a company just to have that P.Eng after their name, not from any extra skill, just that person being allowed to oversee/sign off on things they otherwise couldn't.
194km/hr is not acceptable under any circumstances. And this is AFTER he started slowing down in an exit lane. I'm not saying whether the seizure is right or wrong, but it is law that it has to be taken at that point, for now at least. The other reason (why they passed this I believe) is that there is NO fighting…
Ugh, I can't imagine the insurance there. The graduated licensing you guys have is ridiculous.. In NS after 6 months (3 with proper driver training) I was able to drive on my own.
Depends on your field if it's useful to you or not, correct? As a civil engineer it's important as you need it to sign off on designs and such, IIRC. A chemical engineer, I don't see much benefit.
Actually, you do have to do further exams. They are intensive, but mostly about ethics.
It's actually the law here that it automatically seized at that point, and without a trial, his license is also gone. The DMV seizes it for a week minimum, until a hearing is set to get it back. For speeding like that, I completely agree with this.
At that point you can't really fight it however. The cop's word is all that is required. If there was some possibility of avoiding the charge, maybe. But there really isn't. My dad seized a car that was going 100 km/hr over the limit a month ago, the owner (wasn't in the car at the time) was quite pissed off.
Wow, thats awesome! thanks a lot. I wouldn't recommend the "fun in the car" either, not comfortable AT ALL.
That just made my day. How do you like it? I'm hoping my next car is a 128i or a 135i.
If it weren't for Auxo, I'd completely agree.
From everything I've heard, iOS 7 is a lot faster than 6 on older devices.
Any news on if they think it will work once iOS 7 is actually released?
That looks like a Hyundai Santa Fe.
I'm waiting for the RS7 TDI.
Hamster's face the first time he drives it is priceless.
