Nope. This is dumb. Marginalized peoples like Kaepernick and Rapinoe earn the change that’s necessary in this country by virtue of being human beings. Get the fuck out of here with this corny bullshit.

No, but this guy is a foremost civil rights activist, so...
They don’t care that much. They believe their audience does. They see this as an opportunity to put distance between the NFL brand and Kaepernick’s actions, and believe it’s important for them to do so to maintain long-term ad revenue.
I like that Deadspin and Jezebel aren’t even trying to mask the fact that Gawker-dot-com style content is going to be a regular feature.
Who gives a fuck. A woman is dead because of a stupid video game. She’s dead because of some freemium garbage game app that everyone will forget about in eight months. Look out a fucking window if you need a distraction in the car.
Yes, and no one should be riding a bike while playing Pokemon Go either. There are countless incidents of pedestrians dying because of bicyclists crashing into them, as well as even more of bicyclists dying because they weren’t paying attention to car traffic.
The 800m is something of a strange dividing line within the world of running, because it’s just long enough that it no longer requires the extremely technical (read: expensive) training that the pure sprinting events require, but it also isn’t long enough to require a lot of pacing.
The claim being made is that all three medalists in this particular contest are rumored to be intersex.
Uh, I pretty much agree with you, but to be fair on this point, the 800m women’s race is notorious for being riddled with doping cases. The vast majority of runners with faster times than Caster Semenya are Iron Curtain runners who set those times before doping was being extensively tested and runners who have…
I played badminton in college, so it’s usually one of my favorite events; I get to watch un-commentated live video streams of the badminton matches in Rio on the NBC Olympics app, which is definitely better than hearing a color guy explain over and over for people just tuning in how quickly the shuttlecock flies.
FWIW, most sports get at best limited coverage if any at all during the Olympics. That Bravo has seemingly been dedicated to bringing coverage of a single sport would actually seem to be a privileged position for tennis.
When I was a baby, my dad took me on one of his frequent trips to our local art museum. While he was admiring a medieval painting, I grabbed and knocked over a small clay horse sculpture that hadn’t been properly affixed to its stand.
I almost understand it. Duffy’s having a down year, even before the injury, and given his projections, etc. it could be that last year might have actually been his peak as a baseball player. I think with Nunez in this year, and Christian Arroyo coming up like a rocket through our farm system, the idea was that Duffy…
He’s got a great Instagram account! https://www.instagram.com/duffcat35/
It more just comes from being a Giants fan and the owner of a (slightly) overweight cat.
it’s me, the guy who knows about baseball players’ cats
FWIW, Duffy adopted Skeeter from a shelter, where he was 35lbs. He’s slimmed down to 27lbs, but feline weight loss is a really slow process. Cat metabolisms do everything they can to prevent cats from losing the weight.
Not enough Funky Winkerbean on this list.
This is all well and good until October, when everything’ll come up Bruce Bochy.
