My fave line was no doubt about Carol watching Titantic backwards! “the guy jumps out of the water, fixes the ship, erases the dirty picture, and does a jig!” I was underwhlemed by the episode as a whole but even a weaker episode has some fantastic lines!

Ill go on the record to say that I don’t want this show to be cancelled. I need a show like this in my life.

I agree on Richie; I had no idea she could be this funny.

Is this show set in a universe were horror movie villains are just part of society? From Katie’s Tinder tryst with Penny W. and the Jigsaw reference, I’m really hoping that’s the case.

If you told me a decade ago that Nicole Richie would be the best part of anything, I’d have never believed you. But for me she’s consistently the character I love most on a show full of characters I really like.

Two very funny episodes!

The last scene made me think rather the former. Sure he was devastated to see her do so well what he couldn’t, and still he was also proud of her.

So Season 2 is a thing, right? Was that confirmed? Rachel Brosnahan is fantastic and her report with Alex Borstein is incredible. Also, I can never get enough of Bailey De Young (formerly the Blonde Bunhead Bailey Buntain, now the Eldest Bunhead Bailey De Young, I guess?) even if in theory she’s the most disposable of

This show has had some of the best written standup scenes I’ve ever watched outside of actual standup. I mean, the routines here just killed.

It will be interesting to see if he grows as Midge does. Or if he devolves into a whiny misogynist prick. More so than he already has been. As a product of his time.

This show makes me miss my grandma who was roughly the same age as Midge. My family are blue collar Jews from Queens, but there’s so much commonality to NY Jewry that it all feels relatable, even decades later.

I would have watched an hour of Midge honing her act. I cannot imagine how hard that must have been to write. “Okay, we need three punch lines. Each one is a little better than the last, but none are bad.”

I had no idea where this comment was coming from - until I remembered that the dude in the supermarket when Rebecca first sees Josh in West Covina also had an afro.

Not only is “I enjoy being a girl” being sung in the background, it’s a special performance by Sutton Foster for. the. show. That’s how much the Palladin’s love her. They still find a way to get her on the show even though she’s in Younger.

I really want to see that whole suicidal ventriloquist dummy routine. It had the potential to reduce me to tears of laughter.

I started bingeing last night while my girlfriend graded her students’ calculus papers. Enjoying the universe and characters enormously. Even more impressed by the soundtrack. Running that little Yiddish single under the opening scene was brilliant. This series doesn’t just chronicle the beginning of the end of

Obscenity laws were sufficiently broad back then that, yes, they could be applied to public performances of that sort. Lenny Bruce was arrested multiple times over the course of his career for excessive profanity. Obscenity laws collapsed from the 1960s onward.

holy paragraph breaks, Batman.

This is one of the funniest episodes of television I’ve seen this year. And I watch ‘The Good Place.’

I am always pleased when there is a CXGF song for every occasion.
