Immediately after the episode with Michael's death, I agreed that using that event to get Jane and Rafael back together would have been a lazy, insolent writing choice. However, after many episodes now of seeing their newfound trust and love—as co-parents and friends—a renewed romance doesn't seem so farfetched; a

Ah I realize that I am too a "go-with-the-flow" kind of viewer when it comes to Jane/Michael/Rafael; thank you for putting words to it. My feeling, since season 1, has always been that both partners were believable options for Jane. In Michael's absence, it is also believable that Jane could still find solace in a

JUST RENEWED. YESSSS

I am loving this show! I like how the humor is getting a bit more surreal and strange, like it did with its siblings 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It especially works here since I imagine the news industry to be so serious and "authentic," so the wacky jokes are wonderfully augmented by that juxtaposition.

Totally agree… I am sad Powerless is gone based solely on its originality factor, but I always felt like it was holding back somehow. Great News at least takes itself much further with its on-point joke delivery and making fun of its own world.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the letting-go-of-Michael talk has already been covered, when Jane first decided to start dating again, like with Michael's former partner. That previous episode had a lot of discussion about Jane's guilt and memory of Michael, so for me, I didn't miss any of that this time

I actually did—which would have been such a terrible comment given her engagement—but when it swerved, it made the line so much funnier!

I would, at the very least, add the season premiere to that list. When this show really leans into some more horrific and bleak storylines, like Pat the murderer, it really soars. Other moments, like Gail's isolation, did well for that same reason, for me. There were some disappointing episodes this season, for sure,

BEST EPISODE YET

oh my god
that was brilliant

I am loving this show. Even if it wasn't great now, I trust Esther Zuckerman's season review when it says the whole season is worth watching.

Have we seen Liv's vision face (without the vision) before? I thought this episode's instance was the first time we've seen that.

Yes! That was an amazing and hilarious shot

Lina doesn't live in Miami anymore, so it seems probable that she won't appear on the show regularly anymore. This was an episode to show what happened to an important dynamic in Jane's life and give some comfortable clarity for the future: despite the distance, they know they'll always be friends.

I appreciated this rant, so thank you! As someone who has no experience with actual telenovelas, I think this is an important note to bring up about a show that is supposed to be so closely aligned with them. "Tiago" and "Los Viajes de Guillermo" have definitely felt a bit off since they didn't have much focus on

I don't know if I'd describe the political storyline cringeworthy, but definitely awkward! I think this is because the topic of immigration hasn't been brought up in such a long time, not since Alba got her green card and there's currently been a larger focus on everyone's new life after the time jump. You're right,

I thought this week's case and brain were among the show's best. The way the case was solved and ended—it reminded me of the first couple episodes' stellar cases last season where the murder was a mistake and the culprits clearly felt some remorse. And this week's played out even better with the fun montage reveal. I

This review has quite a bit of negative criticism for an A- grade… Do grades mean nothing anymore!

Is it possible Ravi is just working quickly under the pressure of Major's impending deadline? I thought the show made it clear that Ravi simply has neither the time nor luxury to test extensively on rats, so I thought we could easily assume that Ravi knows this cure is a huge gamble.

No wait, Major definitely told them, right? Because he asked Ravi how long he has left to live.
