Was there ever a moment, and I'm asking totally in earnest, when you were banging your head on the desk for hours trying to think of something brilliant that cut right to the feel of the film…and then you gave up and just wrote "Smurf happens' or "What the Shrek?" and they loved it?

I'm quite a fan of Kevin Smith the person and yarn-spinner. I first heard that story at a Dogma screening in the thick of my comic geek days, and I laughed so hard I was weeping.

That…actually explains a lot about the animated visions in that movie.
