One of the best video game history books I've read is "Phoenix: The Fall and Rise of Video Games" it's truly an incredible read. It doesn't add too much narrative flair since it's goal seems to be closer to an objective history book as opposed to a narrative driven story. The first chapter covers a basic background of

Please tell me someone made a .gif of that last scene with someone ripping off that man's face. That was beyond cheesy.

You're right about the honesty aspect, even if the airline company is practically robbing me blind, I do my best to remain honest in every situation. However I should note that from personal experience (and I have flown more times than I can possibly remember) there are almost always first class tickets available

Is that an Atari number pad? That's a shame to see such an obscure piece of hardware go to waste. The history behind it is pretty funny too. Before the Atari 2600 was called the 2600, it was called the Atari VCS (Video Computer System). Atari was later forced to add an alphanumerical peripheral after they were sued

Protip: The Dewey Decimal System is no longer used since it would have ran out of numbers eons ago.

"Suarez used Bite! It's super effective!"

Before I venture into the dark side of the internet, what is it? Is some anonymous internet denizen being an ass hole? Sacrebleau!

I checked for "Han Solo Adventure" and the Twitter account and the project is miraculously still going. Now where the hell do I get this demo that page mentioned?

Put a little trust in a stranger and believe me when I say that it was for the best to shut down the online multiplayer. The lag was atrocious and it was nigh impossible to find anyone to play with. Not even Old Yeller needed to be put down that badly.

Sword fighting mechs you say?

Someone needs to convince ad makers everywhere to bring back "Terry Tate: Office Linebacker."

I was pumped until I saw a Roman numeral on the HEROES IV HIRE sign. Now I'm only semi-pumped.

Jesus Christ, I almost spit out my coffee (in the middle of a library) when I saw that second .gif.

I agree with what you're saying, I mean to use the term synonymously with antagonist. Even though he definitely becomes a heroic figure later on, Iroh is still helping Zuko hunt down Aang for a huge part of the show. Throughout the entire show, I really enjoyed watching Zuko and Iroh's story arc the most.

Actually I meant quite the opposite; I don't know how anyone could dislike that series. I meant basically meant that I don't know how it got off of my radar for so long. I've always known about the series, but I had no idea it was this incredible.

Well this seems like it would require a lot of sporadic free time. Something that USF loves to deprive me of. However, I know this isn't really spot on with the topic(I think it would be considered anime?), but I just started watching Avatar: The Last Airbender...Jesus Christ.

We just can't help it if we love the puritanical literature of John Milton!

At least Sega had their own system to work off of. This peripheral was completely dependent on the 2600. CVC was also fighting a legal battle with Apple while simultaneously dealing with the major video game crash of the early 1980's.

The only problem with your argument is that the game was conceptualized in 1985, 2 years after the add-on I mentioned fell through. The technology has been around since the 1970's, but CVC(sp?) was the (from my research) first to actually succeed in developing it completely and opening it to the mass market.
