I see your point, but I think it depends on what you think the show is.  I would say that Homeland is first and foremost an examination of the American spy state (and to a lesser degree, the global one).  And on that level, choosing to end on a peace deal in Afghanistan is incredibly sharp.  In location, theme, and

because the people that bought it did so in a good faith act that they would have a playable product? and i do not care about eulas, thats just a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo we click to play the damn game we just paid the bastards for. this is one reason i despise games as services.

Wow. Sarah Treem stuck the hell out of that landing. I’ve joked in the past when people have asked for TV recommendations and Six Feet Under comes up that it’s essentially 63 sometimes very messy hours of setup to get you to 7 minutes of payoff where you’d likely be bawling their eyes out. This was kind of like that

I know that. But, like, I’m surprised that when he steps out of the White House, he isn’t inundated with the low hum of boos from people standing outside the White House. I’m surprised some members of the press don’t just his at him. I’m surprised his Presidential motorcades don’t feature lots of thrown, rotten

This article is very good. If your bosses ever shut you down I do hope you and some departed Deadspin and Gawker writers will set up some sort of worker-led site funded through subscriptions or Patreon or something. I would pay $15 a month or so to read your columns, which I have to imagine is more than my page views

Also, and not to sound like my toddler, Trump started it! Nobody would chant “lock him up”, as well-deserved as it is, if he didn’t lead those chants at his rallies. Without his chants, people there would have just booed him. That’s it.

You guys are awesome. It is not hyperbole to say that this site often gets me through the day. Keep up the good work, and for the love of god do not stick to sports.

My enthusiasm for this show was a little reserved until this episode, but this episode pushed it over the top for me. This was one of the best hours of television I’ve ever seen.

Probably not the popular opinion - but I loved his little bit on the Epic game store. So true imo. Just not worth the energy, and he’s correct I think in that those aren’t the people to try and please anyway.

I’m not defending his actions. If he broke the law, he should be charged. I don’t think the caretakers of the Alamo consented to it being pissed on, or that every person at a Marilyn Manson concert explicitly consented to viewing lewd/indecent/criminal acts. The reality is that Ozzie, Marilyn, Lenny, etc. all did

You know what else is also a crime? Jaywalking. Imagine going to jail because you filmed yourself not crossing the street the right way.

I feel like there’s an extremely high chance these people were hired specifically for the show. Unscripted reality TV is almost non-existent in America.

I’m guessing (hoping?) the prankees will ultimately get paid at least as much as they expected to earn if their “part-time job” actually existed as initially described to them. Hopefully the producers were at least smart enough to go for a vibe that’s like “You thought you’d be moving boxes for two days, but instead

I don’t buy for a second that the unsullied and the Dothraki, who have been life and death across the seas battle after battle loyal to Dany would have just shrugged their shoulders at her murder..”eh, the murderer gets to live and his brother will take our Queen’s place as ruler? Ok guys cool beans!”

One-woman show basically covering season one that was written before the show existed. Impressive stage performance, but I’m even more impressed with how she took that script and translated it to screen so well.

My favourite thing about this episode is how contrasted the Priest is to everybody else. Fleabag and her family are all bullshitting each other and hiding things beneath the surface in their interactions (some things hidden better than others), but the Priest just talks really straightforwardly and honestly, and it’s

Had a privilege of seeing the stage performance in NYC recently and it was just as great there.

Season 2, it’s so good.

“Well, Number One - I love lists”  Oh, Richard, I think I’ll miss you most of all.
