So Ro was never in the Resistance before she bailed?  Huh.  I haven't seen that ep in years (missed it on this re-watch), and obviously have an incorrect memory of it.  In which case, yes, that would be something of a bad assumption to make.

I'll go with the fairly obvious ones, where she blows up that guys hearth or whatever it was, and any time she verbally bitch-slaps Kai Winn.

So I am the only one who assumes that the storylines would've been more or less identical, just with Forbes instead of Visitor? Barring the few that rely on Kira not being a part of Starfleet, of course (most of which could be slightly re-tooled to fit Ro anyway)

As I recall, basically she just didn't want to fall into the Trek typecast abyss, and instead took… Homicide, maybe?  That was around the same time, right?

I wish Forbes would've just taken the DS9-regular gig.  As it was, I'm not sure there was really room for a good Ro storyline once they had Kira.
