Hockey’s emergency backup goalie system is one of the neater things in sports, and other leagues might consider instituting something similar, if just for the cool stories.

Baseball did have something like this back in the 1990's. The Cubs signed a fan, Henry Rowengartner, and it was a lot of fun to follow! He had his struggles at first, especially playing alongside his hero Chet “Rocket” Steadman, but he settled in and became a key player in their postseason run. He even struck out

This only proves Chris Wondolowski definitely murdered someone.

Indeed no better ending than that shithead being the one who fanned out, almost falling on his ass in the process

You left out the best part! When Manny Machado hit that home run tonight with two outs in the bottom of the ninth off Chris Sale, that was amazing.

It’s obviously badly translated, but the manual says:

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Been there. What you’ve got to do is flip it upside down, move it across the kitchen, flip it over again, and then restart it. If that doesn’t work, repeat the process until it does.

Welp. Wow.

get upset at things I say

They didn’t throw any picks either though!

The offensive line statistically played worse than Peterman.

Lol, I mean, didn’t Earl Thomas tell another team, after a much needed victory to keep their playoff hopes alive, to “come get him”? C’mon now.

A great player and good dude on and off the ice. As a Red Wings fan this is some bad news but he’s absolutely paid his dues and deserves a quality post NHL life.

I mean, TBJ has only run for over 1000 yards in his career with a 7 yards a carry average. Seems alright, even if the average per carry has dipped each year. He’s still your clear cut starter.

Nah, maybe you are an annoying homer, but if Herbert stays healthy and with that schedule, they have a good chance of going at least 10-2. If Oregon beats a strong Pac-12 South champ (a similar 10-2 or better USC team, since Oregon misses them in the regular season), that puts them in the playoff.

Homer here too, but clearly this writer didn’t do a whole lot of research, especially on running backs.  He seems to think the Ducks are real thin at RB......he conveniently forgets Tony Brooks-James and Taj Griffin.....2 vets with quite a bit of experience.  I’m pretty sure Brooks-James is the clear cut #1.

Well - Braxton Burmeister - in his 5 starts replacing Herbert threw on average 15 passes a game (skews the average per game). I mean, in three games they lost by 20+ points, he still only threw the ball a total of 36 times (Stanford, WSU, Washington). Why? Because he can’t throw the ball. And coincidentally, they lost
