Nice Trans-Siberian Orchestra reference. My cousin once lent me one of their Christmas-themed concept albums, it was literally the worst album I have ever heard.

God, I wish we'd gotten more Hornberger in the later seasons. I was always stoked when Pete would occasionally get his own storyline.
Yuuuuuup.
Yeah, but the fact that it came out of nowhere has created a huge amount of buzz for it. Given that she recorded videos for every song, I doubt that this was some rush job that she just wanted to dump without people noticing. In its own way, a surprise release like this would've taken a lot of effort, since she…
On first listen, it is a surprisingly good album. I've always enjoyed Beyonce's singles, but I'd never really had the desire to listen to a full-length before she dropped this one out of nowhere.
Between this and the new Beck album, I am PUMPED for February.
She is referring to hip-hop cliches, along with a bunch of other cliches as well ('tigers on a gold leash', 'trashing the hotel rooms' - have fun trying to tie these exclusively to hip-hop). She's singing about the exaggerated images she hears on the radio, a lot of which comes from hip-hop these days, but not all of…

Funnily enough, 'Those Fucking Unicorns' has always been my favourite, with 'Shitwolf' being a close second. And of course there's 'Happy Mothers Day, I Can't Read'. From memory, the 2008 list was the one that made me laugh the hardest.
I don't really like ranking albums (though I will say that The Electric Lady is probably my favourite album of 2013), but some that I have loved this year are:
Shit yeah, I haven't been seeing Wolf's Law get enough love. It was my favourite of the year until Electric Lady came out.
Yeah, they can be found easily enough. Also, you're a champion (and/or sucker for punishment) for being here to absorb this tidal wave of website-redesign outrage.
Apart from the fact that my old account has been seemingly obliterated, I actually quite like the new design - especially now that Todd has confirmed that the drop-down TV Club menu will be coming back.
Good to know, thanks Todd! I noticed that new TV reviews aren't showing up on TV Club (such as Eastbound and Down), not sure if that's a glitch or not.
